"Hyung," Seokjin opened his eyes, "We are here."
Seokjin had woken up and immediately wanted to visit his mother in the hospital. He called Yoongi and told him to make arrangements to go to the hospital first and then attend any meeting. Yoongi was really worried because if Seokjin went to the hospital, then his day would be so packed that he wouldn't have time to even breathe. When he reached the ward, Seokjin saw someone was already in the room. He knocked before opening the door. He bowed in front of the man, "Abeoji."
Mr Kim hummed and signalled him to sit on the couch beside him, "Do you come here often?"
Seokjin nodded, "Twice a week." He looked at the lady that was sleeping peacefully on the bed. Various tubes were attached to her and a machine constantly beeped telling them that she was still alive.
There was a knock on the door and Yoongi came in, he bowed to both Seokjin and Mr Kim, "I am sorry but Chairman-nim needs to sign these as soon as possible." Seokjin nodded. He took out the pen and signed the papers immediately. Yoongi bowed again, "Thank you." He left the room without saying anything.
Mr Kim chuckled, "I am really surprised to see Yoongi fit in the corporate environment so well. I knew you had a good sense of character from a very young age. But why did you help them back then?"
Seokjin smiled, "When I first met Yoongi, he wasn't even in the condition to stand up, but he threatened to kill me when he thought I was a danger to his sister. At that time, I remembered you said that your business is shady and you need strong people. Business can't be run only by one powerful person. I needed a team that could handle a situation in both a professional and unconventional way. I knew Hoseok would be a great lawyer and then I found Yoongi to complete my team. So I took him under me."
Mr Kim looked at him and gave a satisfied smile, "What is his sister doing?"
Seokjin nodded, "Min Shinyu just completed her PhD in the US and now is giving exams to enter the UN. She is really smart."
Mr Kim chuckled, "Then, I will leave you and your eomma alone."
Seokjin stood up along with Mr Kim and immediately bowed, "Take care, abeoji."
Mr Kim smiled and patted his back, "You too."
As soon as Mr Kim left the room, Seokjin briskly walked to his mother, "Eomma. I'm here." He sat beside her and held her hand in his own, "All these years, you have held onto your life because of me. I am sure you would be proud to look at me now. You would be proud to see me successful. Eomma... Please open your eyes. I want to show you what I have become." A tear fell on his cheek. He was quick to wipe it out. He didn't want his mother to see his weakness.
After a while, Seokjin stood up and went out. Yoongi was quick to follow him to their car.
"You have three meetings now. One with the PR team, one with the management team and one with the Jinsu group." Yoongi quickly briefed him of his work.
Seokjin nodded and closed his eyes as he smiled, "You have come a long way, Yoongichi. Hyung is proud of you."
Yoongi's eyes went wide and his usually pale skin started displaying a pink hue, "Thank you."

As he walked by the empty alleys, he made sure not to be seen by anyone. He didn't want to give any chances of disappointment to his father. He chuckled. Father. Though he was Seokjin's biological father, he was only a person who was helping him to become stronger. Seokjin was slowly becoming what his father wanted him to be.
"Oppa!" He was startled when he saw a girl on her knees. Her clothes were almost torn apart, leaving very little to hide her body with. Her hair was dishevelled and there were bruises on her face. She was crying so hard that it was difficult to make out what she was saying. "Oppa, please sleep with me."
