Guilt.

That was the first feeling that Namjoon felt when he woke up the next morning. Of course, the pain that his body was going through after the fight he had the previous night. He was guilty because he thought that maybe he said too much to Seokjin about how he should behave with his friends. It wasn't his place to speak. He should have kept his mouth shut. He was way out of line.

Grumbling about the same, he went out of his room and sat on the dinner table with a cup of coffee. The door of the house opened and he saw Jungkook and Taehyung coming in. They looked exhausted and sleep-deprived.

"I'll make you some hot chocolate," Jungkook said and went to the kitchen immediately.

Taehyung sighed and sat in front of Namjoon. "How is Hoseok hyung?"

Taehyung nodded, "Physically he is okay. But emotionally and mentally he is drained. He was getting ready for work, but we stopped and made sure that he rests for at least today."

Namjoon just nodded and went back to his drink. He was right. Hoseok wanted to go back to work today. He got the phone out of his pocket and opened the messaging app.

Jin Hyung

Hyung...

Can we meet right now?

Come to the penthouse in an hour.

Okay.

~

Namjoon stood in front of the house, contemplating if he should go in or not. After about fifteen minutes of going over all the possibilities, he was about to enter the house, when the door opened itself.

No.

Mew opened the door from the inside. He looked like he had cried a lot looking at his bloodshot eyes. Did Seokjin do something to him? Namjoon remembered the mob telling them that Mew had sent them, but did Seokjin believe a random goon over his brother. No matter how difficult their relationship was, Namjoon was sure that Mew could not send them. Mew came out completely and Namjoon could see some traces of blood on his cheek. He gasped a little. Did Seokjin hit him? What the fuck happened between the brothers? He stormed into the house and stood in front of Seokjin who was sitting on the couch with his head in his hand, "Did you hit him?"

Seokjin looked up and Namjoon melted immediately. Seokjin's eyes were the same as Mew. Namjoon sighed and sat beside Seokjin, "What happened, hyung?"

Seokjin chuckled, "We fought. Nothing else."

Namjoon licked his lips and held Seokjin's hand, "You believe what the goon said? You think he sent them?"

Seokjin shook his head. He exhaled through his mouth and rested his head on the headboard, "Let's not talk about it. What did you want to talk about?"

Namjoon nodded, "I am sorry."

Seokjin sat properly and turned to Namjoon, "Why are you sorry?"

"Because I was out of line yesterday." Namjoon looked at his lap, "It wasn't my place to say those things to you. I am sorry."

Seokjin smiled and covered Namjoon's hand that was already holding his other one. "You shouldn't be the one to be sorry. I should be the one saying thank you to you. I understood what you were trying to say. I called Hoseok first thing in the morning and apologised to him. Yoongi and Hoseok are among the very few people I really care for and when I saw his condition yesterday, I was angry. Watching you in the same condition angered me more. And it just came out wrong."
