"Well, hello there, hot stuff."

Jimin jolted and looked back, ready to fight whoever called him. But his anger turned into a smile as soon as he saw Yoongi standing there. "Hyung..." He whined, "You are lucky, I was going to slap whoever called me like that."

Yoongi chuckled, "Oh, I wouldn't want to be slapped by my date, now." He went closer and took Jimin's hand into his, "Ready to go?"

Jimin nodded. He stopped when he saw Yoongi's car parked by the sidewalk. "Hyung, can we not take the car today?"

"Huh. Why?" Yoongi turned back.

Jimin just shrugged, "You know, the weather is amazing. It's not too cold, not too hot."

Yoongi's eyebrows knitted in the centre, "What if it rains?"

"I have an umbrella." Jimin showed his bag, "And I love getting wet in rain."

Yoongi chuckled and nodded, "Okay. Then, let me park the car somewhere else."

After a while, Yoongi came back sprinting to Jimin and offered his hand, "So, where are we going tonight?"

Jimin smiled, "Somewhere special. At least for me, it is a special place."

Yoongi nodded, "Lead the way."

Jimin smiled so brightly that his eyes became crescent like the moon. Yoongi didn't know when his feelings for Jimin changed. It was hard to tell the difference between his feelings for Hoseok and Jimin. At first, Jimin was for sure a replacement for Hoseok, but slowly he became so much more that if Yoongi had given a choice between confessing to Hoseok and going on a blind date with Jimin, he would choose Jimin all over again. Jimin was quirky, bold, sly, sassy but Yoongi knew he was much more than those things. He had his insecurities, he was a perfectionist, and Yoongi wanted to break those walls created around Jimin to know him more.

The night was dark. The wind blew softly, taking the clouds in the sky with it where it went. Yoongi just hoped the rain wouldn't start before their date started. After about half an hour of walking, they reached a food truck. The smell from the food truck was amazing. Yoongi's mouth watered immediately.

"Two special please," Jimin asked the lady in the truck. The lady immediately packed two dishes and gave them to Jimin. Jimin turned back and smiled at Yoongi, "Let's go."

"We are not eating here?" Yoongi's eyes went wide.

Jimin shook his head, "No, this is not my special place." He offered Yoongi his hand.

Yoongi smiled and took Jimin's hand. Jimin started walking slowly. After a while, they reached an abandoned building. Yoongi turned to Jimin, "Are you going to kidnap me?"

Jimin giggled and shook his head, "Hyung... we are just here." He climbed the stairs and reached the terrace. Jimin went to the edge of the building, gave the food bag to Yoongi and jumped off the terrace.

"Jimin!" Yoongi panicked for a second but when he saw Jimin land safely on the next terrace, he sighed in relief. "God, you scared me!"

Jimin signalled him to jump, "Come on hyung. Jump. Or are you too old to jump?"

Yoongi rolled his eyes. He stepped back a bit and then jumped off to the other building. Jimin smiled at him and took his hand in his. He led Yoongi to the back of the new building. When Yoongi looked off the building, he was awestruck. "Wow!"

Jimin smiled brightly, "You like it?"

"Of course." Yoongi said without looking away, "It looks so pretty." The building was looking off to the Han river. There were people walking or running along the river. The riverside was decorated with bright fairy lights. It's not that Yoongi has never been to the Han river. But it looked completely different from up there.

"Hyung."

Yoongi looked at Jimin. He had decorated a bench nearby with food, candles and beer. He patted the space beside him. Yoongi went to him and sat on the empty space, "So, this is your special place?"

Jimin nodded, "Yeah. I found it when I was 15. After that, it became my place to escape from things. And no one has ever come here, so." He shrugged and looked at the river.

Yoongi smiled and took his food and looked at the river as well. Yoongi huffed, "The cold is slowly increasing, huh?"

"So," Jimin looked at Yoongi and smiled, "Tell me about yourself."

Yoongi chuckled, "It is better if I don't talk about my childhood."

Jimin raised his eyes in surprise, "Why? Did you not study?"

Yoongi shook his head, "Worse."

Jimin laughed, "Were you in a gang or what?" When Yoongi didn't answer, Jimin gasped, "You were in a gang?"

Yoongi sighed and looked at the river again, "Well, I was 7 years old and there was no one around to teach me what was good or bad. My parents left us in an abandoned building for unknown reasons. I had to pay bills, keep me and my sister healthy and fed. Had to pay for her education. It went fairly well for a few years, but then one day I got into a situation where I could have died. That day I realised that if something happened to me, Shinyu would not survive at all in this cruel world. So I tried to quit, but that led to her being in danger." Yoongi chuckled, "I could never be a good brother to her. Thanks to Jin hyung, we got out of that life and were finally able to lead a life that people called normal."

Jimin smiled brightly, "Well, that is all in the past. And I am happy that you came out of it." Yoongi smiled back showing his gums. Jimin sighed dreamily, "My childhood has been a bit sad. Not as much as yours but it was just not as smooth as Taetae's. In my childhood, I was my parents' favourite child because of my grades and academics. I met Taehyung in my high school and we immediately connected. We dated for a month but then realised that we weren't compatible romantically. So we broke up and decided to be platonic soulmates. But before we broke up, we had an elaborate make out session. Biggest mistake of my life." Jimin chuckled and looked at the river, "My dad saw us. After that day, I sort of stopped existing for them. No matter whatever I did, nothing made them proud of me."

He gulped a considerable amount of beer from the bottle, "I did everything in my power to make them proud. I scored the highest in every class. Aced my SAT with a result in the top 1 per cent. Got into SNU in aeromechanics. But nothing mattered to them over my sexuality. It became so suffocating that I left the house at the end of the first sem. Luckily, Taehyung's father had given him an apartment near the university, so he took me in at a very minimal rent."

Yoongi covered his hand and gave a little squeeze. "You can't compare our hardships. We both went through rough times and they are equally hard in their own ways." Yoongi cupped Jimin's cheek, "I am proud of you, Minnie-yah!" He leaned in and pecked on Jimin's forehead.

When Yoongi looked at Jimin, he was surprised. Jimin had tears in his eyes. He tried to wipe them out but Yoongi did it first. "It's okay, let it out." Jimin hugged him tightly and started crying harder. Yoongi rested his chin on Jimin's head and patted his back to reassure him that he was still there. That he will be there in future whenever Jimin would need him.

After a while, Jimin calmed down. He looked at Yoongi, "I am fine. Thank you."

Yoongi nodded. "Of course." He tilted his head. "Jimin-ah." Jimin turned to him with wide eyes, "I think..." He cleared his throat, "I think meeting you is the best thing that happened to me in a while."

Jimin licked his lips nervously, "Me too. I am glad we met at the cafe."

Yoongi leaned in and nuzzled into Jimin's nose, "Thank you for coming into my life, baby." He connected their lips in a soft but firm kiss that conveyed all his feelings.
