As Seokjin and Namjoon sat in the restaurant, the waiters started bringing dishes without even them ordering things. Namjoon was confused but soon realised what was happening. The restaurant must have been Seokjin's regular hangout spot of sorts and they know what exactly Seokjin would order. When the food was plated, the waiters bowed and left them alone.

Seokjin looked at Namjoon with a small smile, "Hope you like it."

Namjoon nodded and started eating whatever was served to him. He would be lying if he said that the food was bad. It was so good that he could cry. He would have no regrets if he died today. He looked at Seokjin, "This is really amazing."

Seokjin chuckled and continued eating. After a while, he looked at Namjoon and placed his chopsticks down, "You must have had questions after last night's incident. Why aren't you asking anything?"

Namjoon looked at Seokjin in shock. He cleared his throat, "I wanted to. But I am not allowed to, according to the contract."

Fucking contract!

Seokjin controlled his disappointment and sighed, "As you know, I handle a construction company. And for any construction, you need land. I can not ignore the land mafia when I am dealing with this sort of business. So I have to be well prepared. There have been many attacks on me, Yoongi and Hoseok. But this was by far the cruellest one. We want the land in Gasan-dong and some people can't watch that happen. That is why they are after me. First, someone broke into my apartment and now attacked Hoseok."

Namjoon nodded. He remained silent for a while. "The land that belonged to a mayor 15 years ago?"

"Yes." Seokjin nodded.

Namjoon chuckled, "So you are at all interested in the gold hidden in that land?"

Seokjin being shocked would be an understatement. The information about the gold was very confidential. Did the news get leaked in the media? No, that can't happen. He knows how Minchan operates. "How do you know about gold?"

Namjoon smiled sadly, "So you are interested in the gold."

"Namjoon..." Seokjin clicked his tongue and looked away. He had to know how Namjoon knew about this. He looked at Namjoon, "Yes, the fight between me and Munsu is because of the gold in that land. But how did you know about it?"

Namjoon chuckled dryly, "The land was the reason why my parents died."

Seokjin was getting way too many shocks in a single day. "What are you saying?"

"My parents were both detectives." Namjoon continued "I always had been interested in every case they worked on. Their last case was the mayor. When they found the gold in his warehouse, the people in power started drooling. They entered the wrong amount of gold that was found. So that they could divide the remaining in themselves. When appa came to know about this, he stole the gold from the evidence room and dug it in one of the mayor's properties. The higher-ups tried many ways to make him speak, but he didn't. So they killed them both in a road accident."

Seokjin remained silent for a while. But he had to know more, no matter how insensitive it may look, "I am sorry for being insensitive, but how did you know that? How did you know that the death wasn't an actual accident?"

Namjoon shook his head, "It's alright. I have been through worse. This is just the tip of the iceberg." He looked at his lap, "Appa's friend that worked on the case told me this when I was 15 and I threatened him that I will disclose his affair to his wife. He told me everything."

Seokjin nodded, "What was the right amount of gold?"

Namjoon looked at him, "How much do you think there is?"

Seokjin shrugged, "200-300 kgs."

Namjoon laughed a little and then looked at Seokjin with a cheeky smile, "895 kgs."

"WHAT?" Seokjin almost yelled. He looked around, but no one had been disturbed so he looked at Namjoon, "What?"

Namjoon smirked, "895 kgs of gold is hidden in the land of Gasan-dong. Have you seen that land? You should have been suspicious the first time you heard about the amount. The higher-ups want that gold now. So they are selling every property that the mayor ever had."

"6.2 million dollars worth of gold..." Seokjin whispered.

Namjoon nodded. "I still have the file that has the right amount of gold, if you want it."

Seokjin shook his head, "I don't need proof. I trust you. One last question. How did you end up in the orphanage?"

Namjoon took a deep breath and smiled sadly, "After my parents died, I was supposed to inherit a huge fortune from them. Also, the compensation that the government gave me. But my uncle, appa's older brother, is a lawyer. He made a fake will and everything went to him. As soon as he got the money, he threw me in the orphanage and bribed them to not put me up for adoption. So till I was of legal age, I remained in the orphanage."

Seokjin didn't know what to say. On one hand, he had the responsibility and the promise he gave to his father to get the land and on the other, the possible love of his life. The gold, the land must mean a lot of things to Namjoon.

Namjoon sighed and then picked up the chopsticks, "I am glad you are getting the land and the gold. I don't want it to go to the government. If it goes to you, at least my appa's death won't go to vain. I know, he wanted it to be deposited in the government funds so that the common people can be helped. But I don't trust the government after what they did to my parents."

Seokjin held Namjoon's hand that was on the table and caressed his knuckles, "Joon-ah, I will make sure that the land and a part of the gold that comes out of that land goes into a good cause. I promise."

Namjoon smiled brightly. He felt like maybe just maybe, his father didn't die in vain. Maybe he will rest in peace after this. Maybe he will be happy. Namjoon felt like crying, wailing like a baby. No one had shown this much affection to him after his parents. No one had taken his feelings into consideration after listening to his story. People only gave fake sympathy and empty words of 'Everything will be fine.' Namjoon held onto Seokjin's hand and nodded, not trusting his speech.

After a while, namjoon got up, "I'll be back."

Seokjin nodded. As soon as Namjoon was gone, he took out his phone, "Hoseok, where are you?"

Home...? Why what happened?

Seokjin could hear some bickering on the other side. He assumed Jungkook and Taehyung must have been with him. "Minchan had the wrong information about the land. The amount of gold is wrong."

Wait, let me change the room. After a while, the voice came again. What are you saying? Is there less gold in the land?

Seokjin chuckled, "No. There is more. Way more. There is 900 kgs of gold in there."

WHAT THE- Hoseok handled himself and continued What the fuck? How do you know?

Seokjin saw Namjoon coming back, "I will tell you everything else tomorrow. Tell everyone to come to my house tomorrow. Call everyone else as well."

Okay.
