Chapter Six

Dumating ang araw ng kanyang debut and she's excited due to a couple of reasons. First, she'll have her dream man as her escort for the night and second, she's finally eighteen! Legal and very much adult for Atticus. At least hindi na nito ituturing ang sariling isang cradle snatcher pagdating sa pakikipagrelasyon sa kanya. He'll see her as a woman. Finally.

She giggled in front of the full size mirror habang sinisipat ang bawat anggulo ng kanyang suot na gown. She twirled like a princess preparing for a ball. Her dress is breathtaking. It was a custom made dainty, pale blue ball gown with a peek a boo front and an open back. Its sleeves and bodice were completely embelished with delicate with crystals while the intricate embroidery design on the skirt is giving her a sexy yet innocent appearance.

Her auburn hair was arranged in a neat braided updo. Tanging isang diamond embelished hair comb na family heirloom lamang ang palamuti sa kanyang buhok. The hairpiece was her mother's gift for her eighteenth birthday.

She studied her face from side to side. She's wearing a shimmery peach-toned make up and a red lipstick that made her lips poutier and sexier. The soft make-up only emphasizing her beautiful hispanic features— alluring with a touch of innocence.

She nodded in approval.

She definitely looks like a woman right now. What would Atticus think if he sees her like this? Magugulat kaya ito? Mamamangha? Mapapa-ibig? Hindi maampat ampat ang kilig na nararamdaman niya pagkaisip niyon.

Isang katok  sa pinto ang nagpatigil ng daloy ng kanyang isip.

"Come in!"

Bumukas iyon at iniluwa ang kanyang mommy at daddy. Isang matamis na ngiti ang agad na sumilay sa kanyang mga labi.

"Mom. Dad."

"How's my baby girl?" Her father asked while looking at her adoringly.

"Happy and excited." Abot tenga ang ngiti niyang sagot.

"You look wonderful, hija. Dalagang-dalaga na ang anak natin, Alejandro." Ang naluluhang turan ng kanyang mommy.

She smiled lovingly at her. "I will always be your baby girl, mom."

Sinapo ng kanyang mommy ang kanyang pisngi at masuyo iyong hinaplos. "Just don't try to grow up so fast, Sesha. Just let everything flow where they may. Breathe and enjoy every moment of your youth. Narito lang kami palagi ng dad mo para sa iyo anak."

"I'll remember that. Thanks mom." She grinned at them both before kissing their cheeks.

Another knock before her brother walked in. A proud and adoring smile graced his lips when he finally took her in.

"You look lovely, bunso. I think I'll be busy warding off unwanted male attention through the night!" He groaned which made her laugh.

"Kuya naman eh. Can you blame them when you have a gorgeous 'woman' for a sister?"

Umasim ang mukha ng kanyang kapatid pagkarinig sa salitang 'woman'.

"You're still a little girl."

Bumusangot siya. "No, I'm not."

"You are. You are still my mischievous little sister." He snickered.

"Mom, dad! Pagsabihan niyo nga si kuya!" Maktol niya na sinagot lang ng mga magulang niya ng isang malutong na halakhak.

"Stop pissing your sister off, Joaquin. It's her birthday." Their father admonished.

Joaquin just rolled his eyes at her father. "Fine." He grumbled which made her smirk.
