The Doctor gently cradled Clara's head in his lap. Her eyes were closed peacefully, a slight smile gracing her lips, her cheeks rosy. He dropped a soft kiss on top of her head, restraining himself from kissing her perfect lips.
They'd sat for nearly an hour when Clara rolled over and a desperate word escaped her. "Doctor..." she mumbled almost inaudibly.
"Clara?" he whispered.
"Need... You..." She stopped moving.
"Clara?" he shook her awake.
"Hmmm?"
"Clara are you okay?"
Her eyes fluttered open and she sat up flustered. "Yeah just dreaming."
She had in fact been dreaming about going on a date with the Doctor and kissing him, but she tried not to show her wistfulness on her face.
"About?"
"Nothing in particular." She looked away.
"You said my name. You said you needed me."
"Oh did I?" Clara said airily.
"Yup."
"You might've been in the dream..."
"Might've?"
"Okay you were."
"And what happened?"
Clara flushed. "I forget," she lied. Badly.
"I know you're lying. Don't lie to me Clara."
"You'll laugh if I tell you."
"No I won't."
"Yeah you will."
"No."
"Yes."
"Clara Oswald I swear on my hearts I wont laugh."
"You care that much? About a dream?"
"Yeah."
Clara sighed. "Fine. I just dreamed we... Uh, we... Went on a date?"
"And?"
"And we... uh, we uh..."
"Uh huh?"
"We kissed." She blushed furiously and glared at the ground.
"I see." He paused a moment, then continued. "And would you like that dream to become a reality?"
Clara wouldn't meet his eyes. "It'd be nice," she whispered. Too quietly.
"Hmmm?"
"I-I said that it'd be nice..." Her voice trailed off.
The Doctor put two fingers under her chin, forcing her to meet his green eyes. "I can make it a reality," he whispered.
Clara's chocolate eyes widened.
"Clara Oswald, will you my girlfriend?"
Her eyes got soft, and she nodded. "Yes yes yes!" And she pressed her lips to his.
