One Day...

Clara was the most beautiful woman he'd ever seen. Her eyes that sparkled with excitement. Her hair that was so soft, smooth, and chocolatey brown, perfectly framing her heart shaped face. The little smile that perked up at the corners of her mouth. The cute nose he always wanted to 'boop'. The perfection in her every feature, every contour of her... he remembered every single thing about her.
And he wanted to kiss her. Those perfect lips, they absolutely had to be kissed. By him. No one else. Just him.
But she was a human. The rules prevented him from loving her. He felt a pang of guilt every time he looked at her, touched her hand, even thought about her. He knew that somehow, the math just didn't add up. Human plus Time Lord DOES NOT equal love. Ever.
But in his case, it did. Well, at least for one side of the math problem. But Clara didn't love him. How could she? Who would choose an old man who changed his face all the time over the attractive human males who could love you more than anyone else could?
Mind you, he didn't look old. But his mind, his hearts, his very soul was so much older than Clara.
If he could only tell her...
He loved her. So much. But he couldn't ever tell her... ever.
One day he would get up the courage to tell her.
One day, he would tell her everything about him.
One day, she would know his true name.
One day, he'd save himself from his eternal pain by revealing his secret.
No. Never.
He would never reveal that secret. That specific love for Clara was forever his deepest, darkest secret. If he told her, she would run away... and he would have lost yet another companion- and the best companion, at that.
So he could never ever tell her.
But maybe...
Maybe...
Maybe he would.
Tomorrow?
Next week?
Nah. Next month...?
Well...
Maybe soon.
