Hey guys! Please make sure you've already read Secrets before reading this. Otherwise it won't make any sense :P
I'm going to start telling you before the chapter starts if it will end up in possible tears (this is based on how much I cried while writing the chapter). This chapter made me cry a little- sniffles and a few years slipping down the nose, so beware to those of you who cry a lot.
Enjoy!

It was Clara's last day with the Doctor, and shewas determined that it would be the best day of their lives.
Careful not to show the countdown number printed in purple-blue poison on her wrist, she flattened the flyaways in her hair. "So... What do we do here?"
The Doctor squeezed her hand gently. "Whatever you want. Get food, shop, window shop, or just enjoy the view with a great friend."
Her smile nearly fell off her face- just friend? But she hitched it back on with some effort. "Just enjoy the view, please."
He nodded. After paying for a private balcony together as Mr. and Mrs. Smith, they sat down on comfortable reclining beach chairs, staring up at the colorful sunset.
After a long silence, the Doctor spoke up. "Clara..."
She lowered her fancy sunglasses and looked at him over the top of them. "Hm?"
"I just wanted to tell you how much I, um, appreciate you traveling with me. I love it."
Clara quickly covered her tearing-up eyes with her sunglasses. "I love it too, Doctor." Her voice was slightly muffled because of built up tears.
She wanted him so badly, loved him so much, but he just considered her as a friend.
The Doctor sat up straight. "You ok Clara? You sound different."
"Yeah I'm fine," she lied. But tears slipped down her cheeks, wetting her hair.
He noticed. "No you're not. What's wrong?" he sat on the edge of her chair.
She didn't answer.
"Clara please just tell me what's wrong!" he pleaded desperately.
Clara pushed him away, and he saw a flash of color on her wrist and caught it in his vice-like grip. "What's this?"
She tried to pull her arm out of his grasp. "Nothing."
"Don't lie to me Clara."
"It's nothing!" she exclaimed, her voice holding a note of hysteria.
The Doctor took her face in his hands. "Please Clara."
And being totally in love with him, she succumbed and told him everything.
~~~
"What?"
"I'm sorry." She hiccuped.
"You- poison- save- why?"
"I'm sorry!" she repeated.
"But why kill yourself to save me?" The Doctor's sentence was slightly more comprehensible due to a slightly calmer demeanor he'd taken.
"Because."
"A real answer Clara. It's our last day. Be honest with me."
The words struck her heart. "Beacuse I.... I love you." her voice trailed off.
His big green eyes softened. "And you never told me?"
She shook her head vigorously.
"Oh Clara, I should've told you sooner, but I love you too."
Her eyes widened.
He nodded. "Yes Clara. I loved, love, and will love you until forever ends."
He took her hands. "Clara this is my last chance. I know it's early, but... Will you make our last day together the best day in my life, and be my wife?"
Clara decided words were too complicated. So she went on tiptoe and pressed her lips to his.
The lip introduction soon became intimate.
~~~
Clara died that night, sleeping peacefully in her Doctor's arms.
He went on to meet another incarnation of Clara, and they got married, since they loved each other unconditionally.
