Rule One- The Doctor Always Lies

So before I get started on the whouffle stuff, here's what im gonna start doing:

It had been years since Clara Oswald had seen the Doctor. She had fallen in love with him, but then...

"I'll be back, next Wednesday, Clara!"

Clara grinned. "Okay! I can't wait!"

The Doctor shot her a huge smile, sending thrills up her spine as he walked back into the TARDIS.

She turned away, smiling to herself as the whooshing noise faded away. She walked back into her house, already looking forward to the next Wednesday.

*the next Wednesday *

It was evening. Not a sound had come to Clara's ears where she didn't jump up and look out the window for the Doctor. But he never came.

*current time*

Four years.

Four goddamned years.

She'd moved on, to her fellow teacher, Danny Pink. She really did love him, she just wanted the Doctor more.

Too late. It wasn't Clara Oswald anymore. It was Clara Pink.

*a year later *

He had returned.

Without so much as a notion of how long he'd been gone, he'd come back for her.

Why did she give him dirty looks every time she saw him? And why did she have a ring on her ring finger? Was it just another ring, like she always wore?

Today, she had exploded, revealing to him why she hated him so much.

"Five years, Doctor! Five flippin' years I waited for you! Of course I moved on! What woman wouldn't move on after that?"

Tears welled in her eyes. "You promised that you'd come back the next Wednesday," she whispered, her voice breaking.

He felt terribly sorry, but... "Rule one: The Doctor always lies."

And he got back into his TARDIS and left her.

Forever.
