🐙 Reading Session [Azul X Reader]

It was after school when you decided to stay behind at the library to read. Of course, there were other things to do such as homework and studying, but you decided to read a romance novel.

Why a romance novel? Well, why not? You're in the mood to read some random love story, and the fact that you grabbed the first book you saw in the fictional romance section, you didn't care whether it was going to be bad or good. In short, you just wanted to kill time out of boredom.

You were sitting at a table in a corner when you saw someone sit next to you from the corners of your eyes. You put your book down and looked over. It was Azul, the owner of Mostro Lounge. You could say that you knew him, although not that much. He's mostly known for his academic achievements, contracts, and business too but after over-blotting, you saw a few sides of him that was embarrassing for him. You wondered why he decided to sit next to you(and at a very close distance too), when there's still a bunch of unoccupied tables, so you asked him.

"You know there's unoccupied tables right?"

"Why? You don't like me that much?" He looked over at you, with one of his eyebrows raised and a smirk plastered on his face.

"It's not that...never mind. Do what you want." You decided it was irrelevant to ask him why he sat here since the library was a public space and people had the right to choose where they wanted to sit. With that, you went back to your book, hoping that Azul sitting next to you wasn't gonna be a bother.

At least, that was what you thought. However the young man's constant gaze at you made you uncomfortable. You couldn't read properly because of him and you sort of wanted to yell at him but remembered that you were inside a library. Frustrated, you put your book down again and glared at him.

"Could you not stare at me?" You confronted him.

"Stare at you? Why, I would never do such a thing, (Y/N)." He responded while reading his book at the same time. So he's trying to act innocent huh?

"Really? Because of all the times I've felt peace and quiet, it's never been this uncomfortable because of your staring." You retorted back to him with a frown on your face.

"Oh-ho, you know that I don't listen to someone's troubles for free. Perhaps if you made a contract with me..." This time he turned his whole body towards you. However you interrupted him before he could finish.

"I- you know what? Forget I said anything... just, sigh, screw you..." Knowing that you can't do anything, you decided to deal with it and went back to his book. Azul simply let out a small "hm" and went back to his book too.

However, curiosity always kills the cat and because you were reading due to boredom in the first place, you wanted to see what Azul was reading. You looked over and saw that he was reading a biography with a content smile on his face. It seemed as if he was enjoying every moment of it and you couldn't help but question why people are even interested in reading other people's private lives. This time, you were the one staring at him.

"So, apparently it's your turn to stare at me?" He spoke out with a chuckle which caused you to jolt in your seat. Trying to avoid the question, you decided to ask him about the book he's reading.

"Oh? Interested in the biographies of successful business men now?" He asked with a smirk. You have to admit that it was hot seeing him like that with his glasses and formal attire on.

"W-well, I was only here to kill time anyways so, I don't really care about them right now. Although I have to ask, what's so interesting that you'd decided to read biographies of business men?" Now you were actually engaged in the conversation. Your boredom slowly started to drift away.

"Well, as a fellow business man myself, seeing and reading about the success of other business men helps me with my own business. It ranges from how they started their businesses, to how they operate it, to how they improved it and so on. It's all so interesting." He explained with a delighted smile on his face as if he was giving a motivational speech.

"I see, welp, that's good to know." You nodded and returned to your book again.

"What are you reading?" Azul asked.

"Just, some random romance novel." You shrugged. Truthfully, you didn't really care what the setting or plot was, after all, you just grabbed a random book from the shelf in the first place.

"Hm. Ok." He turned himself back to his book. Although what you didn't know as you became engrossed into your book was the fact that Azul was secretly watching you and reading your novel with you at the same time, completely losing interest in the biography.

As you read, the following text on the story made you realize that this was some sort of cliché mafia trope with a hint of wholesomeness to it. At the current moment in the story, the two leads we're having a library date when suddenly the first lead kissed the second lead, confessing their love to them. Why does this sound so familiar? Not the romance part, but the overall fact that they're in a library.

"I didn't know you liked to read these types of books." A voice suddenly spoke out, startling you. And it was at that moment you realized something. You were with Azul, a "mafioso" basically, and you're both in a library, sitting right next to each other with barely any space separating you. You began to tense up as you turned your body to look at him.

"L-like I said a while ago, this was just a random book I grabbed off the shelf!" You silently yelled at him for making you nervous. He only started smirking and leaned close into your ears.

"We could recreate that scene if you want, hehe." His voice on your ears made you blush a bright shade of red.

"W-w-what do you mean by that exactly?" You leaned back, surprised by what he said. Without saying anything he simply leaned towards you as you leaned back even further. It was like that until you could no longer lean back anymore and his body was directly on top of yours.

"I meant this." He kissed you on the lips, with such care that it was addictive. After doing that, he helped you sit up and said, "I love you, (Y/N). What about you?" Now you were shook to the core. Your heart could probably explode at any moment now as you just stared back at him. He looked at you lovingly, patiently waiting for your answer.

"I...l-love you too..." you said in a slow and shy way, but that was all Azul needed to hear as he brought you into another kiss. This time however, it was more passionate.

"As much as I'd to go on, (Y/N), I have to go tend to Mostro Lounge now."

"Um...yeah you go ahead first." You we're still slowly recovering from everything that just happened so far. Your face was still red due to the kisses.

"Then see you tomorrow after school?" He asked, packing his things up.

"What for?"

"Another reading session, but next time, let's read the romance novel that you have together instead. How's that sound? Perhaps we could even recreate a few scenes as well." He leaned close to your face, making you blush again. You secretly wished for this to happen again so you agreed to it.

"Good, I'll see you tomorrow then, My.Love." He said those two words especially slow so that you could hear it clearly before leaving the library. After you saw him go out the door, your head sank down to the table with your arms covering it.

"Haaaaaaah...." You were left a blushing mess, but either way, you waited for tomorrow's reading session to arrive. After all, this time, you're going to be reading together with your significant other.

All of a sudden I'm writing like my life depended on it. You ever feel like you got possessed and started doing something that usually wouldn't do? Yeah that's basically me right now lol.
