🦖 His Duty [Sebek X Reader]

"HUMAN! WAKE UP IT'S TIME FOR SCHOOL!"

"SEBEK I SWEAR ON THE GREAT SEVEN IF YOU DON'T STOP YELLING I'M GOING TO ASK MALLEUS TO SMITE YOU-" Goodness gracious Sebek really needs to stop barging into my room when waking me up. I thought alarm clocks were bad but Sebek's voice is like a million boom boxes put together.

"Don't talk about the young master like that human! Now get up and going!" Sebek retorted before turning to freaking stomp down the hallway causing even more noise. I swear even my furniture is going up and down because of him. I don't get paid enough to deal with these people in this world.

Regardless of Sebek's attitude towards me, we actually get along with each other quite well. Not sure how he thinks of me because I am a human, but I guess we began to get along ever since our meeting in the library. He was reading and I was reading about Briar Valley and I guess that's when we became friends.

We're like a "power duo" so to say. I'm like an information generator to Sebek and he has his strength and confidence. No one even bothers us when we're together in the hallways even though some students look at us with a mean look. Ever since then it's become natural for Sebek and me to be inseparable, hence why he likes to break into my dorm at the break of dawn.

Once we arrived at school together, we went our separate ways. He's probably going to find Malleus again. Oh well, whatever, I'd rather get to class than hear Mr.Trein's lecture about being late.

Throughout the day, there was something that has been bothering me. There was a group of students following me wherever I went. It's as if they were stalking me or something. I didn't pay much attention to them though, since I know that the moment I turn my head towards them they'll just scatter off to somewhere. Ahhh this is so annoying. I wish Sebek were here to accompany me so we can annoy each other.

And then suddenly a loud voice boomed over the hall.

"Human! I've finally found you!" Sebek ran over to me and I stood there in confusion. Oh? My wish has been answered apparently? What a coincident. All of a sudden those students were out of the vicinity and I was quite glad that Sebek came to the rescue.

"Oh look who's here, the boom box." I sarcastically said to him while smirking. He looked offended for a moment before returning that smirk back.

"Ho? As if you have any room to talk, you tiny little human." He remarked, clearly making fun of my height. We both had irk marks on our faces at this point and in the end we ended up chasing each other.

"GET BACK HERE SEBEK YOU LITTLE SHI-" I ran after him through the school and it's yard. He was laughing at me.

"HAH! CATCH ME IF YOU CAN HUMAN!" UGHHHH Sebek you and your half-fae strength. Your lucky I like you otherwise I would've really asked Malleus to scold you.

At the end of the day, we are both friends basically, and we only sat on a bench together taking in the view of the school yard. We do this most of the time when Sebek isn't busy protecting Malleus. Actually more like annoying him but eh oh well.

The next day, Sebek's schedule was filled to the brim. How unfortunate, we have to go our own separate ways. I can feel those "tears" coming out through my eyes hah. Oh well, sucks to be him I guess. I was happily walking down the hallway when suddenly a group of students blocked my way.

"Umm excuse me? Could you maybe, move so I can get by?" I asked them. They were the same students who were basically stalking me.

"How about no? Sebek and you are finally apart and we're not gonna let this chance slip by!" The group leader had a smirk on his face.

"You think you're so strong and funny that you and Sebek hang around each other causing a ruckus, but once Sebek is gone, your all alone and your just as weak as a little bug." Another student had said to me. Literally what are they even saying. The hell?

"First off, when did I say I was ever strong or funny? Literally never. Second, Sebek is my friend, and friends can playa round with each other, I hope you know that you daft boy." I sassed them with my attitude and I could see the group leader's luckiest snickering in the back. The leader however, he was fuming. His face is literally as red as Riddle's when he gets mad. He looks so goofy right now heh.

"Why you..."

Out of anger, the student took out his magic pen, aiming it at me. I was petrified as the amount of magic started to form around the pen and was ejected towards me. You know what never mind I think I might want to take my words back. I braced for the worst and I could feared for my own life.

And just like that, he was in front of me, arms crossed, blocking the magic spell that was directed at me. I looked to see who it was. It was Sebek. He appeared suddenly just out of nowhere. It was as if he was a lightning bolt suddenly appearing. He looked like he was about to kill someone as his teeth was showing and he was growling quite loudly that it may even surpass Leona's. I could only stay on the floor and watch in shock as I couldn't bring myself to move.

"You DARE to mess with them?!" Sebek's voiced roared loudly throughout the room. The perpetrators looked about ready to drop dead from Sebek's booming voice.

"Eek! W-we're so sorry!" They immediately ran off after Sebek basically scared the living shit out of them. Once they were gone Sebek turned to look at me on the floor.

"You okay there, human?" His voice had concern in them as he extended his hand out for me to reach. I accepted his hand and once I got up, I thanked him.

"Y-yes I am. I thought I was going to die just now." I'm still recovering from the shock so I can't really talk normally right now. That was one hell of an experience.

"Your lucky that I've saved you from them. Although I could just ignore you but since you are a friend of young master I simply cannot overlook this." He confidently said. I deadpanned at him.

"Are you for real, Sebek? Just because I am a friend of Malleus? Oh for great sevens sake I can't believe you didn't save me because I was your friend." I rolled my eyes at him and crossed my arms. He looked like he was trying to make excuses to make up for what he said.

"I-I well OF COURSE you're my friend! But still! I had to leave young master's side just because of the ruckus you were in." Sebek hugged. Oh my great sevens is that blush that I see forming on his cheeks? Aw how cute.

"Alright fine I forgive you." I 'hmph'ed at him. How could you not forgive such a cute man? But even so he still has to make up for it.

"Really?"

"HOWEVER! Because you just basically offended me just now, you will have to be by my side whenever I call you. Figure out a way to get to my side faster than lightning and I promise you I'll brag about you to Malleus for a month." I smiled at him. Using Malleus' name really comes in handy sometimes heheh.

"Uh!" Sebek stumbled back a bit and his reaction was priceless. His eyes were wide and his mouth was open and he looks so stupid right now but gosh he's so CUTE! He regained his composure before coughing to speak again.

"Fine then! I, Sebek Zigvolt, vow to serve you, (Y/N) (L/N) whenever you find it necessary. I will protect you as that is my duty. As long as you tell the young master about my accomplishments then I will find no reason to reject your request." He loudly announced while his face was turning red from the embarrassment.

"Heheh yay!" I ran up and hugged him cussing him to tense up. Eventually he slowly hugged me back and he was laughing a little.

"How unlikely of you to do this, human."

"Shush it Sebek. Now then, I command you give me a piggy back ride to our usual bench outside." I released the hug and stood in front of him. He sighed and shook his head a little with a smile.

"Sigh, what am I gonna do with you..."

"Heheh, thanks darling~"

Honestly he's so admirable with how hard he tries to be a better guard for Malleus.
I kind of rushed through this so I don't even know if any of this makes sense or not .-.
I'm gonna maybe be a bit slow with uploading because I want to focus on school more since finals are in about a month lol.
