It's that time of the month again. And no, not THAT week of the month. What I mean is it's the time of the month where Vil receives fan mail. As his manager, I make sure that all the stuff he receives are appropriate and safe. Honestly it's an honor becoming a manager for him. I only took up the job since we were close friends, surprisingly, knowing that he calls me a "potato" and scolds me for my fashion sense constantly.

Today, I going through the gifts again as usual every month. Organizing letters in one pile, and gifts in their own respective pile. I was organizing the mail in the lounge of Pomefiore and I stumbled upon a delicately designed chocolate box shaped in a heart. It was dark chocolate, my favorite. There was also a letter attached to it that said to eat first before reading. One piece wouldn't hurt right? Plus I can easily tie the ribbon back to its original place and tell Vil that I ate only one piece of his chocolate. I don't think he'd mind as he usually doesn't eat sweets.

Carefully opening the box, I took a piece out and popped it into my mouth. It was really sweet and Probably tasted better than any other chocolate I've ever tasted.

"Cough, cough." What the? I tasted something metallic, only to look down and see that there was blood on my clothes. I started to suddenly cough up huge amounts of blood. I quickly got up, and hurriedly tried to get to Vil's room. I needed to tell him that the chocolates were poisoned. As I was on my way to his room I stumbled constantly, my vision fading and coming back again and again. I was still coughing and once I reached Vil's room, that's when my body gave in.

Vil's POV
Hm? Is someone knocking on my door? I was just minding my business and just got my makeup done and was about to head out until I heard one single knock on my door and then a loud thud. I went to the dorm and opened it only to see...

"(Y/N)? (Y/N)!" M'y heart stopped for a second and then it quickly began to beat in a panic as I saw her collapsed body on the floor in a small puddle of blood. What made it worse was that there was still blood coming out of her mouth. As much as I hated to say it, I came to the dreaded conclusion that she was poisoned.

"ROOK! EPEL! HELP!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. To lose someone so important to me, I can't, I can't ever comprehend that, especially her! Immediately Rook and Epel came rushing towards me and they stopped in their tracks when they saw her lying on the floor, fully collapsed and breathing heavily from the poison.

"Roi du Poison, what happen?!" Rook came running up to me and bent down to check on her. I slapped his hand away and glared at him.

"Don't. Touch. Her. Epel, go get a doctor, NOW. And Rook, please...please find the cause for whatever happened to her." I didn't care how I acted or even looked now. My face was so scrunched up in anger and I became really protective of her all of a sudden. I quickly picked her up bridal style and put her on my bed. I laid her down on her side so she wouldn't choke on her own blood. I covered her in my blanket and put a wet towel on her forehead due to the sweating.

While waiting for Epel to return with the doctor, Rook came back to me.

"Roi du Poison! I found the reason as to why la petite lapine was poisoned!" He quickly showed me the chocolate box and the one missing chocolate from it. "I found blood in the lounge and there was some that got on the blood so I assumed that this may be the cause." Rook had pointed at the bloodstain on the edge of the box and I was speechless. This is supposed to be my fan mail, no? How could they... how could they to MY darling!

I saw the letter attached to it that said to eat before eating and I grew suspicious of it. I opened the letter only for my expression to become grim. It's like the world has grown even colder.
