⚔️ Knight In Shining Armor [Silver X Reader]

(This is gonna be like when Aurora met Prince Philip in Sleeping Beauty but a bit different.)

The forest was quiet, the only sounds made were the trees rustling and the birds tweeting. You came out of your cottage and went to your garden where you and your animal friends tend to hang out. You've lived a pretty isolated life but it didn't mean that you were oblivious to everything happening within the town. Ever since you were young you mother told you about the wonders of the town but never took you with her because it was too dangerous for you. So instead, you read books of different genres and you preferred love stories more than others.

How did you come to like love stories?

Well you stumbled upon a book that told the story of a knight falling in love with a peasant in forest and that made you wish that you had your own knight in shining armor. Your mother told you once that one day, you'll meet your knight but you have to be patient. So up to now, since your mother has passed, you've just been living by yourself and taking care of yourself with the help of the animals. It's such a wonder that you can communicate with them without any trouble, they benefit you and you benefit them.

Walking with the the animals towards a nearby pond, you set a picnic basket that you've brought down onto the floor and began to think about the dream that you had the previous night.

You were in the forest, waltzing with your animal friends, dancing with them until you bumped into a silver haired man. He held you so that you wouldn't fall back and now both of you were in a dip position. To be honest, he looked quite dashing and he had a sheathed sword on the side of his hip. He began to start dancing with you while your friends were now behind a tree, watching you two from nearby. It was quite a nice dream and you were fully engaged in it until you woke up in the morning, pulling you away from your dream.

You wondered who that man was. You've never dreamed of a person other than your mother so this particular dream perplexed you.

What a weird dream, but I must say, it was a sweet one. The dream I had last night was certainly out of the ordinary. Me dancing with a person that I've never seen before in my life? I wonder if they're real or not.

Getting ready to head out to the forest to patrol the area, I readied myself and my horse and set off for the secluded green colored land.

Eventually you finished having a picnic with your friends and went to hang up the laundry that you did earlier today. Walking with the basket in your hands, you heard a distant neigh from nearby. You friend and you were confused and you decided to see why there was a horse here in this dense forest. It's pretty uncommon for them to be in this forest as they're always out in the open area, is what mother always told you.

Walking towards the sound, you spotted a Snow White horse with a person in armor laying down on a tree. Could they be injured?! Putting the basket down you immediately ran towards the person and knelt down to check up on him. The horse simply backed off and let you do your thing. You gently shook them and they finally awoke after a minute or so.

"Hm?" They looked up and turned their face to you. You couldn't see their face as it was covered with a helmet, but you could tell from the voice that they were a man.

"Oh! So you were simply sleeping! I had thought you were wounded and was about to take you back to my cottage!" You got up and the man got up as well. Dusting your clothes off, you looked back at him.

"Ah, sorry, I was simply taking a nap." He got up and slightly bowed to you. You jolted back a bit at his sudden actions and simply smiled at him.

"That's fine. Oh! Would you like to come to my cottage and eat before you set off again?" You offered the man a meal at your place but he quickly denied, saying that he didn't want to burden you or anything.
