🦁 My Lioness [Leona X Reader]

Lions can be fearful creatures when they are provoked, especially when someone tries to take something that belongs to them away. That's what you realized just now in the Botanical Garden as Leona is currently sleeping in your lap while hugging you snuggly. You only looked ahead, thinking back to what happened this morning.

•Flashback•

The day originally started as it usually does. You go to school with Grim, meet up with Leona, your secret boyfriend, for a bit, then go your separate ways to class. However the "problem" probably started at around after your first class.

"Hey (Y/N!" Someone spoke your name. You turned around since you weren't familiar with this voice. It turned out to be some random student from Savanaclaw. Not wanting to be rude, you greeted him back.

"Hello there, can I help you with something?" You didn't know why he came up to you in the first place. So you assumed that they just needed your assistance.

"U-um well..." he fidgeted around with his hand, clearly showing his nervousness.

"Take your time." You patiently waited for him to continue.

"PLEASE! GO ON A DATE WITH ME!" He suddenly blurted out, causing a few other students to look over and start gossiping.

"WHAT?!" You were shocked that he'd ask you this, you didn't even know him!

"J-just for today that is...you see my friends dared me to ask you out on a date so I just wanted to get this over with!" He begged me profusely. Due to the awkwardness and you not being able to bring your heart yo reject him, you agreed. Dammit, what would Leona think when he finds out about this? That thought loomed in your head for the remainder of the day as you had to pretend to be this person's lover for a day.

And so the rest of the morning went on just like that. This random man stuck next to you at all times. You'd be lying if you said that Leona didn't notice since you knew that you wouldn't be able to avoid him in the hallways. You knew that he was getting annoyed, constantly glaring at the both you and your "date" when Leona was already your boyfriend. It was lunch time and so because you had to act all romantic with this stranger, you fed him his food pretending to be all lovey-dovey with each other. Leona didn't interfere, so you thought it was fine and kept on going like this, unaware of the fact that Leona was about to explode with rage...

And that's exactly what happened...

"(Y/N)!" Leona roared out loud in front of everyone in the cafeteria. He angrily went up to you and dragged you away from everyone, leading you to the Botanical Garden. Everyone watched as he forcefully dragged you by your wrist, praying for your safety. You swore that you could hear a few of them saying "Rest in peace" and some other crap.

"Ah! Leona stop! You're hurting my wrist!" You screamed out, hoping that he would loosen his grip on you, which he did after a short moment, although he was still very mad at you(and at the student who you were on a date with, he knows he's done lmao). By the time both of you reached the Botanical Garden, Leona pushed your back to a tree and trapped you with both his arms.

"What the fuck was that shit-show in the cafeteria just now?" He growled at you, the fact that you were acting like that towards another person made him feel a level of anger he's never felt before.

"Well..." You drifted off, scared at what might happen to you.

"Well?" He raised an eyebrow, still glaring at you, impatiently waiting for an answer.

"Alright listen, that boy was dared to ask me out. He said that I only had to be his date for today and ONLY today," you put an emphasis on the word "only" hoping that Leona would understand, "and I didn't have the heart to reject him..."

"Sigh..." Leona let out a heavy sigh. He brushed his hair back with one hand, stepping back to give you some distance.

"Leona?" You questioned him, not being able to predict what he might say next.

"And here I thought you were just cheating on me..." He said with a relieved tone that it was nothing TOO serious.

"Oh no, no no no, Leona, you know I would never do that." You reassured him, although that still wasn't enough to satisfy him.

"Of course I'd know, after all...you're MINE." He said that word with a very firm voice. It sent shivers down your whole body when he said it as he was starting to show his possessive side.

"Leona..."

"You're gonna have to make it up to me, herbivore." He crossed his arms, slightly pouting at you. His ears drooped backwards and his tail was impatiently wagging, indicating that he was still unhappy.

"How would you want me to make it up to you?" At this point you'd do anything to make him happy again. You knew what you did you shouldn't have done, but right now you just want to focus on Leona's feelings.

"You can make it up to me by letting me sleep using your lap as a pillow." He pointed to your thighs.

"W-what?!" Of all requests he had to ask that of you. Reluctantly you sat down on the ground, Leona following after you, laying down on your lap. You were greatly flustered by this.

"Sigh, better." He finally smiled. You were happy that he can finally relax and forgive you now, which brings you up to now.

•Flashback Ends•

Looking down at him sleeping peacefully, you wanted to try something. You played with his hair to which Leona responded with purrs, flapping ears, and a tail wagging happily.

"Oi, stupid herbivore...stop it." He took ahold of your hand, stopping you from playing with his hair any further.

"Awww why? It was obvious you were enjoying it~" You teased him, "you were purring and wagging your tail so happily~"

"Tch, don't think that you're completely forgiven for what you did today. If anything, that student from my dorm will have to deal with me." Ohhh right. The poor student will have his life flashing before his eyes the moment he get's back to Savanaclaw. Feeling pity for the poor student, you tried to persuade Leona.

"Oh come on, he didn't know that we were dating, and you know why I went on a "date" with him." You nudged him slightly. He only growled back at you.

"Then let's make our relationship public. Your my herbivore and it's going to stay that way forever. Still, that doesn't mean that I'm letting him off." He went back to hugging you and drifted off to sleep again.

"...hehe. Wow Leona." You unconsciously smiled and started brushing your hand through his hair again, this time without him stopping you.

"Love you, my possessive little lion."

"Hmm...love you too, my lioness. Also don't call me little..." He woke up and said quietly before drifting off to sleep again.

His lioness huh? Him saying that made you really happy as you kissed him on his forehead. Eventually you drifted off to sleep too, both of you sleeping peacefully until it was time to go back home together.

Now you might be wondering, whatever happened to the poor boy that went on a date with you? Let's just say, Rest In Peace buddy, because Leona went feral on him :D but yeah you have the ability to imagine what happened to him lol.
Btw I might have to start uploading slowly now because of a school project that involves me writing a speech, so I'll still continue to write, just maybe not publish until like a few days later.
