Chapter 88

Jake and I immediately meet with Avery as soon as we walk into the school. He kisses her and then wraps his arm around her shoulders. It's kind of crazy how much he's changed since he's been with Avery. He's gone from complete douchebag player to sweet, thoughtful, loving boyfriend in a matter of months. Come to think of it, Matt's changed a lot since the scare with Burnie- maybe he really does care about me.

"Sky!" I see Capricorn walk towards us.

"Hey" I smile. I'm still not too sure if I trust her yet.

"I heard your cover of 'Radioactive'! It's so good!" She beams.

"You think?" I smile back. She's known around school for being brutally honest so for her to say she likes it must means it's good.

"Yeah! I had no idea you could sing like that!"

"Neither did I" I laugh. "I don't think anyone did"

"Shawn did" She mutters "He was always telling me how good you are. Apparently you sing around the house without even realising it" Shawn. I miss him. I'll be spending a lot more time with him in a few days. "I'd love to see you perform on tour but all the tickets sold out" She says innocently, batting her eyelashes. I know what she's hinting at.

"Oh well that sucks" I say trying not to laugh. I watch as her smile turns into a frown and she looks at the ground. "I'm joking!" I smile, she looks up at me beaming. "I'll see what I can do" I smile.

"Thank you!" She says excitedly whilst jumping up and down. I smile in response just as my phone starts to ring. I answer it quickly to hear Mr Langford's voice on the other end.

"Hello Sky" He says smoothly.

"Hey" I smile even though he can't see me.

"I'm sorry to call at this time-James told me that you had your prom last night!

"I don't know how he'd know that but it's fine I wasn't doing anything anyway"

"I've called to tell you that the tour is still going ahead but it's being moved up to the day after tomorrow!"

"Really? That's great but why?"

"There's been an amazing response so we've added an additional date in New Jersey" He tells me.

"Wow. I better get packing then" I laugh.

"You sure better! I'll let you go and enjoy your second to last day at school." He says finally.

"Thanks Mr Langford"

"Bye Skylar" He says assertively before hanging up.

Well that was strange. I thought I was going to have more time with Matt and the rest of the boys before I have to leave. The warning bell shakes me out of my daze. I clutch onto my books and head towards homeroom.

By the end of school, my thoughts are so loud that I can no longer hear the outside world. How am I going to tell the boys and Matt that I have to leave earlier? How will I say goodbye to my dad? Sure, we've had our disagreements but he is still my dad and he chose me over his existing family so that has to count for something right? How do I say goodbye to Jack and Jack? They've been so amazing and made me feel so loved and been the best friends that Amy never was. How do I say goodbye to Taylor? I love him with all of my heart. He's helped me fit into his crazy world and made me feel so at home in his hometown. Worst of all, how do I say goodbye to Matt? How do we leave things? Do we do long distance or do we break it off? He's going to get a lot of female attention on digitour and I'll be getting more attention on Shawn's tour. I don't know if we're strong enough to get through this kind of separation. I mean, he couldn't keep his hands of Amy whilst we were staying in the hotel, what's to say he won't cheat whilst I'm away?
