"Well well well" I hear behind me "Skylar potter sits with a pair of 14 year olds at lunch. What can't you make any other friends your own age?" I stand up to be her level as the whole caffeteria is silenced.
"What, can't you get any better stories for your crappy blog?" I sass
"I know your secret"
"I have no secrets"
"Does your boyfriend know about your little kiss with Jake? Oh wait, you didn't kiss because he pulled away didn't he?"
"Ooh burn" I turn to see Matt, Jake and some other boys stood in the doorway. Jake looks really guilty- guess we know who told her then.
"At least she has a boyfriend" Rachel says
"Shut up" Capricorn says loudly to Rachel.
"Don't talk to her like that" I say sternly.
"What are you going to do about it? I have the power to ruin your perfect little reputation here"
"And I have the power to ruin your stupid little blog"
"No you don't"
"Hmm maybe not me, but I do know 14 different people who could including your 'ex boyfriend' that you used to get your popularity"
"You can't fight your own battles can you? You always have to get 'your boys' to help you out. I mean you can't even stop yourself getting raped without Jake butting in and knocking Mark out"
"You don't know what you're talking about" I say shocked.
"Yes I do. I've already written the article and got an interview with Mark himself. All I have to do is hit post" Not possible, he's in jail.
"You don't scare me"
"But he should" She says looking behind me. I turn to see Mark stood behind me, smirking at me. How is he here? I freeze on the spot. He steps closer to me and strokes a hand over my cheek.
"Leave her alone Paul" Rachel says wedging her way in between us.
"Paul?"
"Mark's twin brother. Sorry, I assumed Mr Truman or Jake would have told you" Rachel whispers
"Leave her alone Capricorn. I'll tell mom" Cameron says. Mum?
"Shut up. Just because you're adopted doesn't mean you're the angel child and you can get whatever you want"
"You're a bitch"
"Ooh I'm telling mom" She sings. "Well your new little friends have just fired me up. I think I'm going to post it" She says tapping her iPad. Who brings an iPad to school anyway? "Whoops" She says innocently. Immediately everyone in the room's phone pings. I watch as people unlock their phones and read. "You deserved it. You dress like a whore every day. You had it coming"
"Stop being so jealous of her Capricorn" I hear Jake say over the muttering of other people in the room.
"Oh Jake. You're so whipped. You even moved to all of her classes"
"What? Whipped as hell bro" Matt laughs next to him. He then gets out his phone and looks at it. "Wait is this true Sky?" He shows his phone screen. I'm not surprised to see that it's Capricorn's blog post.
"Yeah it's true" I say looking at my feet.
"You got raped?"
"Attempted"
"And you're brave enough to come into school the next day. That takes some balls. You weren't even scared when Paul showed up"
"I can't just put my life on hold because something bad happened." I state
