(A/N: so I've been informed that there isn't actually a beach in Indiana and so obviously there aren't any jellyfish so sorry about that. Just imagine there is for the purpose of the story (: thanks)

I probably sound like a stuck up cow right now. I'm jealous okay. Is that what you wanted to hear? I'm jealous that she can walk into a room and grab every single person's attention in seconds. I'm jealous that she can eat whatever she wants and still stay skinny. I'm jealous that she doesn't have to hide her natural hair colour in case she gets bullied. I'm jealous that she can have any boy she wants. I'm jealous that she has Matt.

Oh god, did I really just admit that? I know I told Taylor I had no feelings for him. I honestly believed that. It's kind of a love-hate thing. The more I hate him, the more I want to be with him.

No Sky. You like Taylor. Taylor likes you. Just admit it to him. Be happy Sky. For once in your life be happy.

---

We arrive at my front door and I'm slightly apprehensive to have this many people in my new house. What if they break something? Don't get me wrong. I know they wouldn't do it on purpose. They're just a bit accident prone I guess. Stop worrying about stupid little things Sky! You have bigger things to worry about.

I open the door and climb up the stairs to find Hayes still lying shirtless on my bed. I'll admit it, for the 13 year old, he is hot. But don't even go there Sky, he's 13. I sit down beside him as one by one the boys dump their bags on the lousy excuse for a floor I have- as if it wasn't messy enough already. Taylor's fault, of course.

"Can I take a shower?" Matt asks timidly
"Yeah sure" I say "As long as you come back out shirtless" okay so I didn't actually say that last bit. But I sure did think it.

He nods appreciatively and walks into the bathroom. Amy giggles and follows him in. Ergh. How could she rub it in my face like that? I'm fine with them dating, I really am, but she hasn't actually told me about them yet. Guess the cat's out of the bag.

I shake back to reality.
"Hey has anyone seen Taylor?" I ask
"Er he said he met this girl from school" Aaron replies "Think they went for ice cream?"
"Oh okay" I say a little less enthusiastically. I pull out my phone to ask him about tonight.

(S=Sky, T=Taylor)

S: hey dude, what time are we going out?
T: oh shit yeah
S: you're ditching me aren't you?
T: sorry sky! It's just I met a girl
S: from school?
T: yeah, her names mia, you're going to love her! She's blonde and British!
S: she's not the only one
T: you know, she kind of looks like you! Except she's 19.
S: great tay.
T: sorry about dinner
S: it's fine!
T: I have to go, Mia is waiting.
S: yeah okay bye.

Great. So I've lost one boy I like to my best friend who happens to be 1000x better than me and now I've lost the other boy I like to a girl who is basically me yet older. Great.

"Sky?" Hayes says next to me, snapping me out of my mental battle.
"Yeah?" I say
"You were talking to yourself"
"What?"
"You said something about your best friend and a girl who is basically you"
"Oh, that's embarrassing"
"It's fine" he assures me

"We're going to get some food, coming?" Nash asks innocently
"I'm fine thanks, I'm not really hungry anymore" Nash raises his eyebrows at me but then shrugs it off. He nods to Hayes and then to the door.

"I think I'm going to keep Sky company! I ate too much today anyway" Hayes protests
"You're such an insecure little girl Hayes!" Cameron laughs
"Shut up" he says throwing a pillow to Cam's head. Cam shrugs it off and follows the rest of the boys outside.

"What about Amy and Matt?" I nod towards the door. Seconds later they come out, looking rather flustered and out of breath. They're both fully clothed but still, no prizes for guessing what they did in there.

"They're going to get food" Hayes informs them. I don't make eye contact with either of them. They both leave hand in hand. I sigh deeply as I hear the front door close and lie back on my bed, staring at the ceiling.

"So what was all that about earlier?" I blurt, unable to keep my thoughts to myself
"Well I wanted to see what all the fuss was about" he smirks
"You're such a freak" I giggle shoving him lightly.

An awkward silence falls over us. I open and close my mouth several times like a fish out of water, racking my brains of what I can talk to him about. I've only ever had one proper conversation with Hayes and I'm pretty sure that was about a certain boy, if you know what I mean.

"I know you said you didn't want a boyfriend but-" he blurts, slicing through the silence
"Hayes.." Oh god. I'm not ready to be with another boy. Let alone a famous boy.
"No no I'm not asking to be your boyfriend" phew.
"Then what?" I turn on my side, propping my head up with my arm.
"I was wondering if you wanted to be my unofficial girlfriend"
"And that is?"
"Like everything a girlfriend and boyfriend do but without the label"
"Hayes, you're a great boy. But that's just it, you're 13" I say trying to let him down gently
"I didn't mean sex" he says defensively
"I didn't think you did"
"I meant this" before I can say anything he's already leaning in. Getting closer and closer. He gives me time to back away but I don't, I let him kiss me. For a 13 year old, he really knows how to kiss, if that doesn't sound too weird.

I know it's wrong but I can't stop thinking about how much I want to kiss him again. I mean, I've got nothing to lose. No one to lose. Matts loved up with Amy and Taylor's currently ditching me for this Mia girl. What's the harm?

He leans back and holds a finger to his lips.
"Our little secret"
