Chapter 16
Ecstatic. Ecstatic is the perfect word to describe me.
After Logan dropped me home, we shared yet another kiss. I've always heard people talking about how they feel like they are on cloud nine, and I've never really thought that it was possible to feel that way. I always thought that they were over exaggerating. Never, not once until yesterday that is. The way his soft lips brushed against mine and sent sparks of ecstasy running through my body. My body was a literal human flame. All that existed were Logan and I. If this is what it feels like to be on cloud nine, I am never going back to earth. He made me feel alive. Like I would never have anything to worry about. I wore a goofy grin all night just because of that kiss. It was so perfect. Our faces got close, there was happiness evident on both. There was our moist, steamy warmth of breathing lingering just waiting for our lips to touch. When that contact was made it then became just so magically indescribable it could only be felt. With Logan in mind I called Nina. I decided that a talk with my crazy best friend was long overdue.

I got out of bed and walked to my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and prepared to take a shower to start getting ready for school. After I'm finished with my shower I chose a red off the shoulder crop top with a white tank top to go underneath and my light blue ripped jeans with my high tops. I then walked over to my dresser and putted on some nude lip gloss and mascara. When I'm fully clothed I hopped down the stairs like a five year old. I entered the kitchen singing Lalaloopsy. Seated on a bar stool in the kitchen was my dad looking at me like a gaping fish. "What?" I asked restraining from laughing like a freaking hyena. He placed a hand on my forehead and mumbled some words I couldn't make out.
"What?" I asked him again.
"Are you sick?" I gave him a confused look.
"No." Why did he think I was sick?
He placed a hand over his mouth and said, "The Lord is coming!"
What the hell was he talking about. Has he reached insanity's proximity. I mean I always knew he was crazy but not this crazy.
"Do I need to find the number for the nearest asylum in the directory right now?" I asked him.
He quirked an eyebrow at me and asked, " why do you need the number for an asylum?"
" I didn't say I needed the number I asked if I did."
"Again, why would you need it?"
"Because you're standing here talking about the Lord coming," I said while crossing my arms. He just started laughing.
"He has to be coming if you're up this early and you aren't sick."
Early? I looked at the clock in kitchen and it says five thirty. Wow! It was five thirty and I wasn't even tired. Probably the Lord was coming after all. I spent my time watching reruns of Fresh Prince of Belair. Man I love that show! Will Smith is hilarious.
At about seven I heard a car pull up outside my house. I peeped through the window and saw a black car with its windows tinted so dark it was impossible for me to see inside. The car was parked there for about five minutes before it drove off. Well, that was weird.
After ten more minutes of waiting I saw Brian on a motorcycle parked outside. I kiss my dad goodbye and headed out to Brian.
"Hey, where's Logan?" I asked. I was really looking forward to hearing him sing Justin Beiber. I would never admit but I actually enjoyed hearing him.
"Aww, not happy to see me?" Brian asked while faking a pout. He looked so adorable I could just pinch his cheeks.
"Nope." My lips quirked into a playful smirk and we both started laughing.
