Chapter Five

Klaus grabbed Gemma's bags from the ground and she got into his car while she waited for him. When he got into the car, he instantly started it and turned to face Gemma. 

"Why didn't you stay at least over night? Not that I'm not happy to have you back all to myself, but what happened?" he asked her while he began to drive.

"Tyler showed up."

"Oh?"

"He left again, of course. I feel that's all he knows how to do now. But before he walked out of my house, I gave him an ultimatum and he still decided to leave." Gemma began to cry and Klaus instinctively took her hand in his, "I feel free, but still so heartbroken."

"He was your first love. Your feelings won't just magically disappear. But what else is happening in Mystic Falls?"

"Well, Stefan got his mind erased by some witch. He stopped pretending to be okay with Damon and Elena, so I let him move into my house."

"Ooh, Stefan can't remember anything?"

"Not as of today, he called you Klint, which was really funny." Klaus laughed and during the duration of the car ride they both remained quite. When they pulled into the driveway, Gemma saw Hayley standing in the doorway. Once Klaus parked the car, she got out and walked over to Hayley. They two girls hugged each other.

"I know you were only gone for a day, but honestly I missed you."

"I missed you too. It looks like you're finally showing."

"Yes, I know. I am a balloon. But sorry about Bonnie."

"Thank you." Klaus came to the door carrying Gemma's suitcase.

"Excuse me ladies." he carried it inside and the girls followed him inside.

"I'm so tired. I think I'll go to bed." Hayley said going upstairs and they both heard her bedroom door close.

"So now that you're single." Klaus said pulling Gemma close.

"Give me a month and we will revisit the idea."

"Good." Gemma kissed Klaus on the lips and then grabbed her suitcase. When she got upstairs she noticed a missed call from Stefan, she called him back and sat on her bed.

"Hey, Stef."

"Hey. Just calling to make sure you got home again."

"Yes, I did. Thank you."

"Good. Also I like the scotch collection."

"Don't you dare, drink it all."

"I promise, I won't."

"You liar."

"Your bed is comfy."

"There is a guest room, you know?"

"Yes, but yours seems so familiar. Did we...?"

"No. We didn't. Because of you and..."

"Elena. But damn about us not you know..."

"Shut up. Weirdo. But I gotta go, I have a feeling I will have a busy day tomorrow."

"Night Gemma. I miss you already."

"I miss you too."

"Bye, Gem."

"Bye, Stefan." they hung up from each other and Gemma got up and changed out of her black dress and into some pajamas. She closed her bedroom door and turned off the light. She fell back onto her bed and turned the television on.
