Chapter Twenty-Seven

Gemma walked around her house in Mystic Falls, she was once again reunited with her childhood home. The twins were in the living room playing while she cleaned the home for the bridal shower that was happening tomorrow. Enzo came in from outside and gave her a smile, Stefan soon followed and gave Gemma a kiss on the lips.

"It's finished." he said grabbing Gemma's hand and taking her outside. The pergola Stefan and Enzo built in the backyard was beautiful, they agreed to remodel the house since they were allowed back into town. Gemma and Stefan had moved into her parents room, Enzo took Gemma's old room, and the twins had theirs. 

"It's beautiful. I love it. Thanks guys." Enzo joined them with a twin on each hip and smiled up at his work.

"No problem, sweetheart."

"Daddy and Uncle Enzo, built this?" Jordyn questioned, the small girl who was only five months old now looking three questioned.

"Yes, they did. For mommy." Gemma took Jordyn and kissed her cheek.

"It's pretty." Jaxson commented. 

"It is." Gemma agreed, "how about I make us some lunch?"

"Yes! We are both starving." Stefan said with a laugh. The family walked inside their home and Gemma went into the kitchen and began to make sandwiches, grabbing three blood bag and empty the contents into cups. The twins were in booster seats sitting at the table while Enzo and Stefan talked about what they were going to do during the bridal shower.

"Do I get to go with Daddy?" Jaxson questioned, "or do I get to see Aunt Caroline?"

"What do you want to do?" Stefan asked his son.

"I want to see Aunt Caroline's pretty face.."

"I think he has a crush on Care." Gemma said with a smile bringing in the food, Jaxson scrunched up his face, not understanding what a crush was which caused Gemma to laugh, "Aunt Caroline is really pretty isn't she."

"Yes, Uncle Tyler is going to ask her to marry him. He told me.."

"He did, did he?"

"Yes. He says he trust me with the secret."

"I see, well I guess we will see if she said yes or not soon." Gemma gave him a smile placing his food in front of him, he began to eat. 

The rest of the day was spent cleaning until a knock on the door and it opening revealed Rebekah, followed by Hayley and Davina. 

"Mother of God!" Gemma said seeing all the gifts the girls were carrying, "you do realize that more than just you guys are coming..."

"Yes, but some of these are for the twins. You keep complaining that every month they grow a year... so lots of clothes." Rebekah said dropping the bags and bringing Gemma into her body, "Klaus and Marcel are getting the rest of the stuff. Now where are they?"

"AUNTY BEKAH!" Jordyn screamed running into her arms. Klaus and Marcel came through the door with all their bags. Gemma directed them to one of the many guest rooms in the house began. The Walker/Salvatore house completely full of people. They sat in the living room and began to catch up with each other.

"Every month adds a year, I don't know. I'm getting worried about how they're supposed to go to school, when they will the aging stop? This is new, nothing like this has happened and my mother isn't around to answer any questions." Gemma admitted to Klaus who had pulled her out of the room.

"Love, everything will be okay. Listen you just need to try and remember that you knew this wasn't going to be simple."

"I know, but as far as I know I aged like a normal child.."
