Chapter Nine

When Gemma woke up the next afternoon she saw Marcel standing in her doorway.

"You do like your sleep, don't you."

"I lead a busy life, I need my beauty rest."

"Doubtful." he walked into her room and closed the door, "I'd really like to know about who turned you."

"Why, so curious?" Gemma sat up and went into the bathroom that was attached to her room.

"Last night, you did things I've never seen before."

"I'm not sure about who turned me." Gemma lied, "I was found by my friend Caroline in the middle of town square, she took me to my other friends house and they helped me transition. My friend Bonnie, who was a witch made me my daylight ring.

"You had a lot of vampire in Mystic Falls?"

"Vampire, werewolf turned hybrid-"

"Yes. We also had a medium, witches, and the very doppelgänger that helped Klaus become who he is, but she's a vampire now."

"Indeed." Gemma said with her toothbrush in her mouth. She started brushing her teeth.

"So our new leader is having dinner tonight."

"He really needs to realize he doesn't need to be King to have loyalty. He needs to be kind to people. He's King Joffrey and you're Lord Stark."

"I know, and I hope neither of you have their same fate." Gemma exited the bathroom.

"I have no clothes here." she said referencing to the dress and had on last night.

"Don't be so surprised." Gemma gave Marcel a quick look, "Klaus made Josh go to the Plantation to get all your things."

"Of course he did." Gemma went into her closet and sees all her clothes as well as a small dresser with her bra and panties in it. She quickly closed the door and put on a fresh set and slid on some clothes, she stepped out of the closet and stood in front of Marcel.

"I've got to go meet Rebekah in the Gardens."

"I've got a paper to write." Marcel left her bedroom and Gemma sat down at the small desk that sat in the corner of the room. She looked at the online syllabus for her classes and began working on the assignments that were due by the end of the day.

It had to be many hours later before she was interrupted by Klaus coming into her room.

"Come on, time for dinner love." she stood up from the chair she was sitting on and looked at him.

"Let me change." she used her speed and slipped on a dress, but she left herself barefoot. They went downstairs and into the courtyard, the vampire army was there, as well as Marcel and his close friends. Hayley was sitting at one end, there were two open chairs at the other end. Klaus pulled out Gemma's chair and she took a seat as Klaus sat next to her.
