Chapter Sixteen

Gemma woke up the next day and Stefan was gone. She got out of his bed and went to Stefan's wardrobe, she found a shirt and put it on. She slid on her panties, she left his room. She figured she would be quick and just grab a blood bag from the kitchen and be back in his room in no time. When she descended the stairs, she instantly regretted it when she saw Caroline's wide eyes staring at her.

"Oh, shit." she still came into the living room and looked at her friends, "I had no idea.."

"We were talking about Katherine." Tyler said through gritted teeth.

"I was sleeping three feet away from her! She picked out my Bitter Ball dress. And I let her use my tooth paste."

"She tried to strangle me, I'm the dumbest one here." Gemma said before going into the kitchen, she grabbed a blood bag and rejoined her friends- Stefan had once again joined them.

"Well, did she lure you into a hotel room to makeup with you?"

"She's the reason I found out about you and Klaus."

"Oh, I know." Gemma began drinking from the bag.

"So how do we kill the bitch?"

"Well, passengers can be expelled from the host. We saw it happen with Matt. Gregor died, and Matt lived. All we have to do is stab her with the Traveller knife."

"I still have the knife, Nadia gave me."

"Perfect! Go get it."

"Wait, you guys! This is Katherine we're talking about. She's going to see a sneak attack from a mile away. We've got to get her to come to us. Get her guard down, corner her." Gemma said, she began to feel sick but ignored the feeling.

"Fat chance you'll be seeing her today. I'm pretty sure I bit Nadia."

"What do you mean, you bit her?"

"I mean, she was attacking Caroline, and I might've nipped her a little."

"And you're just mentioning this now?"

"Hey guys! Focus. Tyler's right. Katherine's not going to leave Nadia's side, unless not leaving compromises her identity." Caroline said.

"Which means..."

"We've got to invite her to something that can't say no to." Gemma started heaving, "Gemma, are you okay?" Gemma dropped the blood bag and fell to the ground and began throwing up the blood, it felt like it was never ending, she looked at Stefan with sorrow and knew what was coming, she fell back and her world went black.

"Gemma?" she heard Bonnie's concerned voice, and saw the rest of her friends.

"NO! NO!" Stefan demanded and he began to shake Gemma's lifeless body. 

"I can't, I won't." Bonnie told her. Suddenly Gemma's father appeared, "Mr. Walker?"

"Honey quick. You can resurrect yourself. This will make sense soon. But you need to start it now, just like when you brought Timothy back, you do the same."

"What's happening to me, Daddy?" her mother appeared behind him

"Mrs. Walker?" Bonnie's voice called.

"I dead too when..."

"When what?!"

"NO TIME, NOW OR NEVER!" she listened and placed her hands over her dead body and she began to resurrect herself. She felt herself float back into her body and her body was lifted by her outstretched wings.

"What the hell..?" she heard Matt question clearly confused. Gemma opened her eyes and brought herself to the floor and she continued to heal. Gemma's wings folder back and underneath her skins invisible to the outside world. All her friends were staring at her, shocked and concerned. She found Bonnie's eyes and gave her a smile. Stefan brought her into a tight hug, he guided her onto the couch and she sat and just listened while the group concocted a plan. Stefan sat next to her as the other left, Bonnie rushed back in.
