Chapter Twenty-Six

A/N: I AM GOING OFF SCRIPT FOR THIS CHRISTMAS CHAPTER. SO SUE ME.. PEOPLE AT CHRISTMAS: GEMMA, STEFAN, JORDYN, JAXSON, TYLER, CAROLINE, DAMON, ENZO, ELENA, LIZ, LIV, LUKE, JO, ALARIC, AND KAI. 

Gemma rushed around the kitchen trying to make sure all the things she was cooking weren't going to burn. Stefan was upstairs in charge of getting the twins ready for their first Christmas. In the living room of the cabin they shared with the other Salvatore brother; Damon and Gemma's "maker"; Enzo was fully decorated and well stocked with gifts. Gemma had gone above in beyond with getting everyone the perfect gift. She was excited to spend this first Christmas with her children, her fiancé, and their many friends. They agreed to put all the drama on the back burner for the day and just to have a good day. Gemma heard the doorbell ring and looked over at Enzo who was setting the large dining room table with wide-eyes.

"Don't worry, sweetheart. I got it." he told the blonde girl who was really nervous, she gave a terrified smile as he left the dining room, "It's just Caroline, Tyler, and Liz." Enzo said coming into the kitchen. 

"I need to go change, can you please watch this."

"Of course." he gave his nervous progeny a reassuring squeeze on her shoulders. She used her speed, saying a quick 'hello' to her friends and running into her bedroom, as Stefan was coming out of the twins nursery. They gave each other a look.

"You look so handsome. I did a good job with your outfit."

"You did. Thank you." they gave each other a quick kiss, "I can't wait to see how you look." he said with a smile before walking down the stairs with a twin on each hip. The twins; now two months old were of course developing quickly due to them being half-vampire. They were now able to sit up on their own and were already crawling, appearing to be six months old to the outside the parents were getting more and more concerned with their growing rate and their intelligence being beyond that of an average six month old. 

Gemma rushed about her room faster than before hearing the doorbell going off again as more people began to arrive, she let her hair fall down to her waist and did her makeup. When she slipped into the dress Stefan had chosen for her, she smiled. It was beautiful and she was happy. She put on the heels she was going to be wearing with it before slipping out of her bedroom and running into a body.

"Shit. Sorry." she mumbled, she looked at the boy in front of her and furrowed her brow, "I don't know you."

"I don't know you either. I think I'd remember meeting a beauty such as yourself.."

"Flattery will get you everywhere.." Gemma smiled brightly, "I'm Gemma." she extended her hand to the boy, he looked at before grabbing it, and giving it a firm shake. Her hand zapped him back and she sighed. 

"Kai. What was that?"

"Oh the infamous, Kai. I've heard many things."

"Hopefully all terrifying.." he gave Gemma a smirk and she just laughed.

"I've heard worse.." she told honestly. 

"MOMMY!" Gemma's eyed widened in shock at the shrill of a little child's voice. She used her speed rushing from Kai's sight and followed the noise of giggles. 

"Did she--"

"Yeah.." Stefan said looking up at Gemma wide-eyed.

"What the hell!" 

"Mommy!" Jordyn pointed her little finger at Gemma, "daddy!" then she pointed to Stefan, his arms circled Gemma's waist and he pulled her body into his.
