When Gemma got up the next morning she quickly got dressed and brushed her teeth. She was happy to see the table which was full of fruit and pastries.

"Come join us, Gemma." Gemma sat across from Klaus and he bit into one of the servers wrist, "have you spoken to our good friend Marcel today?" he asked Rebekah while Gemma piled her plate with fruit.

"No, should I have?"

"He's been mysteriously silent- avoiding me, some might say. I thought perhaps he may have whispered reasons into your ear. Along with those sweet nothings."

"If I see him, I'll be sure to ask if he's still sore at you."

"Let me give a voice to that look in your eyes." he began to mock Rebekah, "my saintly nobel brother lies writhing in agony in the Bayou, victim of my bastard brothers bite, when just one or two drops of his blood would ease his pain," Gemma sat quietly listening to the siblings as she ate.

"On the contrary, Nik. I am simply enjoying my break, waiting for Elijah's healthy return."

"Oh, come on Rebekah, you're been giving me the devil's eye all morning. Out with it. Gemma has no problem being honest with me."

"Perhaps I'm concerned that if I voice my opinion about what you did to Elijah, I will end up on the wrong side of your toxic hybrid teeth."

"Poppycock! I would never bite you. Elijah made some very offensive accusations about my intentions towards my child. He deserves a day or two of discomfort. Besides, you know my preferred method of punishment for your indiscretions is the dagger." Rebekah smirked and stood up from her seat.

"There is something fundamentally wrong with you." she left the room just leaving Klaus and Gemma.

"So how'd you sleep?"

"You know, like I was dead." Klaus laughed.

"Do you need a drink, you know I am more than willing to share." he snapped his fingers and a serve came instantly by Gemma's side.

"No, I'm fine."

"When did you last feed?" Gemma shrugged, "okay."

"Are you going to heal, Elijah?"

"No. He will heal himself." Gemma shot Klaus a look, "come out with it."

"I can see how they would think that you know."

"I resent that, accusation." he stood clearly angry.

"You went from 'kill her' to father of the year. To one it would seem to those who know you, and I know you, Klaus. I t would seem that the reason were all caring was because you knew that baby will help you in someway, in your plan to be the King again." Klaus walked over to Gemma and stood behind Gemma. He placed his hands on her shoulder.

"I promise, I didn't know."

"And, I believe you." Gemma pushed her chair out and stood facing Klaus, "yell at me again and I will stake you."

"You know that won't kill me."

"No, but it will hurt like hell." Gemma left the dining room and went into her bedroom. She got onto her computer and noticed an email from her professor asking about her absence from class. She decided that she would switch to going online because of her ever changing Klaus schedule and how he was constantly needing her, she emailed the administration office and did what she needed to do. She grabbed her book after she was finished and continued reading.

Later, Gemma left her bedroom and went downstairs, she heard Klaus talking out loud;

"They have all forsaken me, my siblings are deceitful in disease just as my parents ever were. Accusing me of using my baby for my own gain, trusting others before their own blood."
