Isabela's POV

I was sitting on the far side of y/n's room while the doctor is still checking, beside him is her mother. I looked at them in concern as I see tía Maya looking gloomy.

Thankfully Luz already left as soon as the doctor arrived, she must be not comfortable when we keep on glancing at her. For now we're still the only one here since Matéo go back to inform others about y/n condition.

I stood up and went to their side wanting to know what he is saying "she's awake now Mrs. Guzman but she have amnesia meaning y/n can't remember everything." the doctor said calmly, I glance at y/n who's eyes are still shut.

"Then, is it possible for my daughter to regain her memory" she asked hopefully, the doctor sighed and adjust his glasses.

"It is possible ma'am but it will take time for her to know everything, but there's still a chance she remember a small detail of her past" I felt my heart sink, looking down and hold y/n's hand. I sniff as I felt a small amount of tears in my eyes.

'I'm sorry mi vida, you have to endure this'

"She's going to wake up at any moment now Mrs. Guzmán so please be aware that you shouldn't mention anything she can't remember" her mom nod sadly. I looked at the doctor curiously.

"Why? What will happen?"

"The patient might experience some headaches once she tried to remember anything and that will be stressful for her" I nod faintly. He excuse himself and got out of the room, I could hear y/n's mom sigh as she sat on the chair beside her bed.

"Do you think y/n would remember me?" I said to tía, she was holding her daughter's hands while I'm standing beside her.

"I know she would, you're her fiancé" she simply said, I hummed faintly staring at y/n.

"How is she?" Mamá asked as soon as she entered  the room with Matéo, Dolores and her husband.

When y/n was in coma the two delayed their wedding for a week but they soon decided that Dolores and Mariano wanted to marry early so they married without y/n.

It's sad because all of us are conscious that someone is missing, y/n is supposed to be the one who will be with Mariano while I'm with Dolores.

"She's fine, y/n woke up this morning shortly and–" tía stopped when she sees her daughter eyelids starting to open, I stood up and went to her side.

"She's waking up" Matéo suddenly whispered beside me making me startled, I glare at him when he laughed silently.

"Oh my mija, how are you? Do you feel any pain? Or do you need something? " Her mom started, she looked at her mother and smile sweetly, like they haven't seen each other for years.

"Mamá. I'm fine" she said, I felt some small tears in my eyes when I heard her voice for the first in a while.

Tía started sobbing which make y/n laughed. 'Oh, how much I miss her laugh' my fiance give her mom a small hug. Y/n looked around giving a small scoff at her brother before smiling.

Her eyes caught Dolores and she smiled sweetly at her and that made my eyebrows up. Y/n then frown slightly at her cousin, maybe because on how close Mariano is with Dolores.

When she looked at me and mamá y/n looked confused, my smile disappeared and that turn into a small frown.

"Uh, who are these people?" She whispered but I can still hear it, my heart sink as I saw her confusion as she glance at the both of us.

I look at mamá's side, she was looking at me worriedly. I could already feel hot tears as my mouth shut, stopping any sound.

While the two couples in the door side is looking at me in pity, 'I don't need your pity' I scoff enough for them not to notice, well expect for Dolores

"Don't you remember them y/n? Both of them?" Her mother asked her. Y/n shake her head? while still looking at the both of us.

"I only remember you, Matéo, my cousin and I think, Dolores is my girlfriend" she said, whispering the last part. Y/n was confused when I started crying, my shoulder started to shake as I tried to stopped those tears.

"Mija, Dolores is not your girlfriend anymore" her mom said, I glance at y/n who's confused as hell.

"What?!" She said holding onto her head.

Matéo hugged me as a comfort which I gladly accept, burying my face onto his chest while he rubbed my back, there's suddenly a Hyacinth appeared on my hair as I sob. I felt mamá's presence beside me, caressing my hair.

"Oh, is that Tèo's girlfriend? But why is she crying, I didn't do anything wrong." She said unsure still confused, staring at me and her brother. When I calmed down I face y/n who's looking at me.

"She's not my girlfriend!" Matéo protests, crossing his arms.

"Can't you remember me, amor?" I said, walking slowly to her bed. She shake her head, confused.

"Amor? I'm sorry I don't know you." I nod and step forward and hold her hand.

"It's not your fault y/n. I will help you remember anything" I said caressing her hand, my fiance nod hesitantly.

"But, I don't know who are you miss?" She said, more distant at me first.

"I–I'm... Isabela. Isabela Madrigal" I tried not to stutter infront of her but failed to do so, holding my breath same as my tears from falling.

"Are you, perhaps related to my girlfriend?" She said tilting her head. When she say those words again I failed to control my emotion, shaking my head as mamá rub my back softly.

"Hey, don't cry. Please" she plead, her voice seem to be true so I nod wiping the salty tears and hold her hand with the both of mine.

When I felt like she's comfortable with my touch after, I smiled. She's enjoying the warmth of my hand and I could say, so am I.

After a while I stood up, seeing y/n not so close to me right know and can't remember me making me feel sick, it's not what I'm used to. We used to be with each presence together before that y/n would not leave my side but it just change in a blink of an eye.

And she also said that her girlfriend is Dolores which I can't accept, why?!

Y/n might not remember me but I can still see how comfortable she was with me and how her eyes have some spark when she looked at me. I will not deny it.

After a few moments we stayed silent, only the voice of y/n, her family and Dolores would constantly talk with y/n while I'm sitting on a chair with my mom, leaning my head on her shoulder.

Apparently my eyes are swollen again, but I tried to ignore what I looked like right now as I'm looking at y/n. She would occasionally glance towards us or particularly me and give me a small but sweet smile.

And my heart would beat like a fast drum, so is my cheeks that starting to heat up.

"Isabela, come here. I wanted to ask you something" she suddenly asked, I nod and stand up.

"We will excuse ourselves for now" Dolores said and all of them walk outside, closing the door first.

When I face y/n, she looked nervous for some reason and pat the side of her bed where I can sit.

"You can sit here" I did as she told, we both looked eye to eye, getting comfortable each seconds.

I literally stopped writing this in mid chapter because of too much angst.

And to y/n and Isabela's wedding, it's still happening.
