HOMOPHOBIA [BXB]

CHAPTER 2

LEO'S POV

I bit my bottom lip looking around the luxurious five star rated restaurant in awe. I glanced at my dad and his fiance talking to each other and looked down at the menu card feeling nervous.

I've never been to any luxurious restaurants like the one I'm currently in due to my financial status. I lost my mom when I was sixteen, that is three years ago in an accident and it's just I and dad since then.

My dad owns a small cafe in the city. He met his fiance there and soon they started dating and eventually got engaged. They are going to get married next month and I am so happy to see him move on.

He was a little hesitant at the start because of the fact that she is rich and well respected in the society whereas him being poor. He was scared of getting judged and being the reason of his girlfriend's humiliation but she somehow managed to make him understand that she doesn't care about anyone and also the fact that he's poor.

She's a really great women and I admire her. She treats me like her very own son and I found myself slowly accepting her as my mom as well because she fills the void in my heart of not having my biological mom with me.

I learnt that she has two children and I'm nervous yet excited to meet them. My step siblings and that's the reason she decided to arrange this dinner so that we can meet each other and get along well.

I get very coy around new people and it takes me time to get comfortable being the introverted person I am. I blushed smiling back at my soon-to-be mom as she smiled at me.

"Oh here they are!"

She said waving at someone and I followed her gaze only to see two people probably around my age or older than me walking towards our table with big, exciting smiles plastered on their faces.

"Hello!"

They both greeted my dad in unison and sat down exactly opposite to me. They exchanged a few more greetings and I pressed my lips into a thin line feelings nervous again.

The girl glanced at me taking a sip out of the glass of water in front of her. I gave her a small smile clenching my fists under the table as if it will help me feel less nervous and she smiled back at me.

"Why don't you both introduce yourself, hmm?"

My step mom spoke staring at her children with a small smile on her face. They nodded looking my way and I rubbed my sweaty palms against my expensive pants I wore for tonight.

I fixed my suit clearing my throat and decided to speak as I saw them staring at me as if excepting me to go first.

"Nice to meet t-the both of you, I'm Leo."

I said and I could feel my cheeks heating up. I might be looking like a tomato right now. Why am I so shy!?

I screamed internally glancing down at the menu card. I heard the girl chuckle and looked up as she spoke up.

"Nice to meet you too Leo, I am Christina."

We both smiled at each other.

"I'm Henley and I hope we get along really well."

I nodded at him and he spoke up again.

"You probably are a university student as well huh? You look the same age as us."

"Yeah I am a freshmen in the Barnard University."

"Oh wow... I'm a sophomore in the New York University whereas Henley is the junior. How old are you though?"

"I'm nineteen... What about you?"

"I'm twenty."

Christina said making me nod at her.

"Twenty one, so we don't have that much of an age gap and it will actually help us to along well."

Henley said resting his elbows on the table.

"Yeah and now let's order food!"

My step mom said with a cheerful smile on her face. I opened the menu card going through it finding something delicious to eat as I heard my dad talking to Christina and Henley which I didn't pay much attention to as I'm so hungry at the moment.

I closed the car door shut waving goodbyes to my new family who were sitting in the car waving back at us. The car window rolled down and my step mom poked her head out as my dad leaned down leaving a peck on her lips and forehead.

I smiled at them as they backed away from each other. The window rolled up and the car started moving forward soon disappearing at the corner of the street out of my sight.

"Let's go."

Dad said walking towards the front door pulling the key out of his coat's pocket. I followed him and we entered the house.

"Goodnight dad."

"Goodnight bun."

We walked into our respective rooms without talking much as we are so tired and I closed the door sitting on my bed. I loosened the tie around my neck and unbuttoned my coat letting out a sigh.

I stared at my almost empty room filled with cardboard boxes for awhile and came back to my senses standing up and walking towards the bathroom for a quick shower.

I undressed myself and entered the shower cubicle turning on the tap and felt lukewarm water falling upon me from the shower head. I closed my eyes and sighed relaxing myself.

I'll be moving out along with my dad tomorrow to my step mom's house just as she requested a few days ago.
I reopened my eyes grabbing the body wash and finished my shower.

I plopped myself on the bed after putting on the comfortable pyjamas. I sighed turning to my right side and closed my eyes drifting off to sleep.

THE NEXT MORNING

ROME'S POV

I switched off the TV pulling my phone out of my pocket and opened instagram going through my explore page.

I stopped scrolling once I spotted a picture of a couple kissing in front of the Eiffel Tower. I clicked on the post admiring the two men sharing a romantic kiss in the city of love. I liked the post and checked out their profile.

They posted the pictures of places they visited all around the world together. They are looking cute not going to lie.

After a few minutes of scrolling through that app, I threw my phone beside me getting bored. It's weekend but I have no where to go as all of my friends are busy with something or the other.

I squished the cushion in my arms letting out a whine. I want a boyfriend too. I stared at the blank TV screen in front of me and looked at my posture through it.

I sat up straight letting out a sigh. All of a sudden, I got an idea in my mind and grabbed my phone going into the play store.

I searched for the app Tinder and let out a squeal excited about getting a boyfriend. After the app got installed, I immediately opened it signing in.

I went into the settings making a few changes and updated my profile picture. I gulped and filled in about myself and saved it.

I posted a few pictures of myself and smiled in satisfaction reading the information I wrote in once again.

INTERESTED IN MEN

I put the phone down on the coffee table and took a deep breath in feeling nervous all of a sudden. I just have to wait now.

I raised my eyebrows as I saw a text popping up on my phone's screen. I grabbed it and realised that it was Henley.

"Yo come over by 12:30 PM, I want you to meet my step brother and step dad. You'll also have lunch here in my house."

I checked the time and it was 11:08 AM right now. I nodded to myself standing up from the couch and walked upstairs to my bedroom.
