CHAPTER 43

MONDAY

ROME'S POV

"Thank you."

I placed the big plate in the center of the table in which are placed grilled pork ribs smiling at the couple who thanked me.

"Enjoy."

I turned around walking into the kitchen and placed the tray on the counter waiting for the next order to be placed on it so that I could go give it to the respective table.

"Table 10, Rome."

I nodded at one of the waiter who placed a bowl of chicken soup on the tray walking away. I picked up the tray and was about to walk out of kitchen but felt a hand on my shoulder.

I turned to my right and saw Hazel smiling at me. I smiled back motioning at the tray in my hands and she nodded back extending her hands towards my collar.

"Just a second."

She straightened the collar of my white shirt and tightened the neck tie with a gentle smile on. I scanned her face taking in every feature not knowing if I should move or not.

She retrieved her hands back and instantly blushed as she felt my eyes on her. I blinked looking away and she let out a shy chuckle walking away.

I sighed softly walking out of the kitchen to hand this order to table 10.

"This is so yummy~"

Hazel squealed stuffing her mouth with sushi as I laughed at how her face looked right now.

"Eat slowly no one is going to snatch them away."

She pouted taking a sip of water from the glass placed on the table. I hold the chopsticks getting a hold of the sushi placed on my plate and put it in my mouth nodding as I loved the taste.

Hazel and I are currently in a Japanese restaurant near to the hotel we are working in. We came here to eat lunch because we wanted to try something new and sushi is one of the best Japanese dishes.

"Did your training start already?"

"Not yet..they're looking for a few more actors so that we could start shooting the short film but also I had a photoshoot on saturday! Wait- let me show you the photos."

I nodded as she pulled her phone out of her skirt's pocket unlocking it.

"Here."

She placed the phone on the table sliding it towards me. I stared at the screen swiping to the left seeing the photos of her one after the other.

"You look pretty."

"I do? Haha..there were prettier girls over there on the sets. I'm nothing compared to them."

I looked at her sliding the phone back towards her.

"Well.. You're pretty too, don't compare yourself with the others because they can never be you. You are unique....everyone is."

She blushed picking up the sushi with the help of chopsticks and took a bite out of it chewing slowly with a hand over her mouth.

"Thanks for that."

I smiled at her tapping my finger on the table looking around around the restaurant loving the ambience.

I should come here along with Leo some other time, I'm sure he would love it.

I glanced at my wrist watch to check the time and it was 6:30 PM. Hazel and I left the work half an hour early as there were not much customers today.
