CHAPTER 51

LEO'S POV

"Shoo."

I giggled trying to push Rome away who was tickling me from behind as I am busy washing the dishes. I laughed out loud not able to hold back anymore.

He laughed along with me as I leaned my back on his chest continuing to do the dishes. He stopped tickling me after a few minutes and rested his chin on my shoulder.

I felt him staring at me and blushed taking my bottom lip in between my teeth. He encircled his arms around my waist pulling me more closer if it's even possible.

"I love you."

He whispered pecking my cheek and the blush on my cheeks deepened with my heart beating faster. I glanced at him before looking back down at the ceramic plate in my hands.

"I love you t-too."

He buried his face into my neck which caused me let out a giggle feeling ticklish all over again.

"You should go get ready now Mr. CEO."

He chuckled at my remark and nodded backing away and walking out of the kitchen with a huge smile on which made smile as well.

Last night, Rome's father called him and asked him to be there by 9:00 AM in the morning at his office. He explained about how he need to discuss a few things before officially announcing him as the new CEO.

Rome is happy since morning as his father called him after so long. I chuckled remembering how he showered me with kisses after his father ended the call. He was that happy.

I turned off the faucet drying my hands with the towel placed on the counter and walked out of the kitchen checking the time on the wall clock in the living room.

8:13 AM.

My dad called me three days ago asking about how I am and it really made me feel a lot better after talking to him. He comforted me saying that my mom, Christina and him are going to support me no matter what.

He didn't bring up Henley knowing that I might get triggered to which I'm thankful for but asked if he could meet Rome and I said yes. He's going to come here this weekend.

I smiled sitting on the couch bringing my knees closer to my chest staring at the blank TV screen at the front.

He seemed to be so excited to meet Rome.

I mean my dad met Rome already before but not after he got to know that he's my boyfriend.

I buried my face in between my knees wanting to shove away the negative thoughts consuming my head all of a sudden.

It's been happening for a while and I even had a nightmare the other night which is making me feel restless but Rome is helping me with it.

Everything is going well and good but I am still scared of might happen in the nearing future. We didn't go out on any dates even if Rome asked once I said no hesitating to get out of the house and he didn't force me too.

I feel insecure and unsafe to get out thinking we might get judged by strangers. We did go out before but now I don't even feel like going.. Maybe because I'm still shook with everything that happened.

"Leo? Are you okay?"

I heard Rome's voice filled with concern and soon felt his hands gripping my shoulders shaking me lightly.

I slowly looked up at him shaking my head indicating that there's nothing to worry about. He leaned down pecking my forehead and sat on his knees in front of me cupping my cheeks.
