THE GRADUATION DAYROME'S POV
I entered the auditorium greeting the professors and staff I passed by with a smile on my face. I'm going to graduate today. I'm excited to start a new chapter of my life yet nervous.
I spotted my friends along with my best friend, Henley sitting in the third row and walked towards them taking a seat beside Henley who just smiled at me before looking away.
He seemed off since a past few days and when I asked him what's the matter with him, he ignored me so I decided to not push him to tell me anymore.
But I got to know that he's sad because his mom stopped talking to him due to the argument they had in the hospital room the other day from Leo.
Leo explained how he got to know that Henley is a homophobe and to be honest, it didn't surprise me. I kind of expected this to happen a very long time ago and it scares me knowing how he would exactly react once he get to know that I'm dating his brother.
Even though I fear the outcome I decided to accept the truth when the right time comes.
I turned around trying to find Leo as I know he would come here along with his family to attend the graduation ceremony.
I spotted Christina, Leo and their parents all together sitting a few rows away from where I am with my friends. I gave a small wave to which they either smiled or waved back. I mentally chuckled at the way Leo's cheeks turned red when I stared at him for a little too longer.
I turned around facing the front and saw my parents entering the auditorium. My mom spotted me immediately and waved to which I waved back staring at my father who just glanced around the hall.
They settled down and I saw mom turning to look at me with an encouraging smile on her face. Dad didn't even glance at me.
I bit my lip starting to feel sad all over again and looked away passing one last smile to my mom.
Students walked into the hall one by one along with their own families and then separating because the students need to be seated separately.
I saw Samantha entering the auditorium with her parents on the either side of her. Her parents walked away wishing her luck and she waved at them walking towards her friends.
She laughed talking to one of her friends and looked up tucking her hair behind her ear. We both met eye contact and she instantly blushed waving at me. I hesitantly waved back and she looked away first breaking the eye contact.
She really kept her distance from me after the day she confessed her feelings just as she said.
"Good morning everyone."
I looked at the front and saw one of the professor standing behind the podium with a mic in his hold and a smile on his face.

I wrapped my arm around Henley's shoulder smiling at the camera in front of us. The now graduates were asked to take a group photo along with the principal and the staff so that it could go down into the university's picture album.
The camera flashed before the cameraman stood up straight smiling at us.
"Thank you."
I wished the best to my fellow classmates and graduates for their future ahead and even hugged a few whom I'm close to.
We thanked the staff and the principal one last time before getting off the stage. Henley waved at me walking towards his family and I stared at him until he reached them.
