CHAPTER 36

ROME'S POV

I slid my phone back into my pant's pocket and let out a sigh looking up at Leo's house. I'm currently standing in front of his house as I came here to make sure if he's doing okay because he didn't even see my texts let alone reply to them.

I walked to the front door and rang the doorbell waiting for someone to open the door. The door opened revealing Christina and I waved her to which she gave only a small smile and walked back in.

Is everything okay?

I followed her in and removed my shoes at the entrance closing the door behind me.

I saw Leo's dad pacing back and forth with a mobile phone in his hand while his mom was sitting on the couch staring at the TV in front with a blank expression on.

Henley was leaning on the wall beside the TV looking down at the floor avoiding everyone's eyes. Christina sighed motioning me to sit and I took a seat on the vacant couch.

"Uh... Is everything okay?"

I asked raising my brows at the strange silence along with my eyes scanning the kitchen and the dining area hoping to see Leo.

Henley let out a sigh walking a little forward now standing beside Christina.

"Someone kidnapped Leo."

I stood up from the couch with my eyes widening from the sudden shock.
The siblings seemed to be shocked by my reaction as they glanced at each other before looking back at me.

"What? How?"

"We don't know how but...we came back from our honeymoon we went on yesterday night but got to know that Leo was staying at one of his friend's house since a few days. Henley even told that he would be back by yesterday's night but he didn't come back and today morning we rushed to the police station.

We got to know that a case is already filed against the person trying to kidnap Leo and it was filed by his best friend."

"Troye.. He even attended your wedding."

Christina added biting her lips as she glared at the coffee table looking like she was thinking about something.

"The shocking thing is that... Leo didn't care to tell us that someone is trying to kidnap him!? I mean why? He thought he wasn't important to us?"

Henley spoke but I stayed silent not knowing what to say. I guess they probably kidnapped him while he was walking back home after talking to Troye.

I sighed rubbing my temples and sat back down on the couch. I said I can drop him off but he acted stubborn and now he's kidnapped. Wow...just wow!

"Did the police say anything else?"

"They said they gave him a tracker which is installed in a earring with which they could track the location if he gets kidnapped and so now that he did got kidnapped..they're tracking his location now."

"I hope nothing happens to him before we find his whereabouts."

His dad spoke out and I looked at him to see that the tears in his eyes are about to roll down his cheeks anytime soon.

"They even informed us about a guard they arrested who killed himself and all. It's really terrifying.. I hope he's safe out there."

Christina said walking into the kitchen with a worried expression on.
I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and took it out to see a text message from Troye.

"Call me this instant!"

I stood up clearing my throat and glanced at the three of them who are present in the living room.
