ROME'S POV

"My boyfriend."

"Huh?"

She froze in her place but immediately turned around looking at Leo who's cheeks turned red by now as he let out a nervous chuckle glancing at me.

"Wow."

My mom walked towards him with a smile on her face. A smile formed on my face sighing in relief that she didn't react the way how I thought she would.

"He's beautiful."

She laughed when Leo covered his cheeks with a nervous smile on his face at the compliment. I walked closer to them resting my hands on my mom's shoulders.

"I know right."

I smirked at Leo who looked like a meerkat staring at mom and I with those big eyes of his.

I gently pushed my mom into the living room and made her sit on the couch. She placed her handbag beside her and smiled looking up at me.

"You need anything to drink?"

"No and also I'm not a guest haha."

I rubbed my nape sitting on the vacant couch as I saw Leo slowly walking into the living room balling his fists looking all nervous.

My mom patted her hand on the couch beside her motioning him to sit there and he did with a small smile on his face.

"Don't be nervous."

She let out a chuckle taking his hand into hers rubbing his knuckles with her thumb. He glanced at me and looked back at her giving a small nod.

"What's your name honey?"

"Oh- I- my bad, I didn't even introduce myself I'm sorry."

"It's okay because mom wouldn't mind it considering how nervous you are right now."

I said to which mom nodding giggling at the way Leo panicked for nothing.

"I'm Leo nice to meet you."

"Aw you are too cute I like you already! And nice to meet you too."

Leo chuckled biting his bottom lip looking down at his lap.

"When did you both start dating?"

"Since a month... I feared that dad would get angrier if I say I already have a boyfriend so I didn't earlier."

"Oh so it's even before the argument I see."

"Yeah..and can you please not tell about Leo to dad?"

"Sure because I ain't the one who should be telling that... You can visit us to introduce this pretty boy to your father anytime when you both are ready."

"Thank you."

She laughed patting Leo's back as started blushing again.

"He's so shy oh my goodness."

I joined laughing along with her at my boyfriend's shy self.

"Where do you study? In the same university as Rome's?"

"No.. I study in Barnard University.. I'm a freshman."

"Oh well then- how did you both meet?"

"Well... He's Henley's step brother."

"Really? They know about you both dating? The whole family?"

"Not yet... We will tell them soon once we are ready."
