LEO'S POV

I stood up from the couch walking away in search of the restrooms. I walked towards the bar and turned to the left to see a sign board indicating to enter the hallways to find the restroom and so I did.

I sighed when I spotted the restrooms in the corner of the hallway and speed walked towards the door. I opened the door and entered in but halted my steps once I saw Rome washing his hands in the wash basin attached to the marble counter.

He lift his head up once he heard door open and stared at me blankly through the mirror. I looked away ignoring him and entered the stall with my heart beating louder in my chest.

I sat down on the commode which was surprisingly closed already and took in a deep breath trying to calm down my racing heart.

A few minutes passed by, I was still inside the stall staring down at my shoes.

Did he go away?

I stood up slowly reaching out for the lock on the door and unlocked it peeking outside. I flinched once I saw him still standing in the same place with his hands in his pockets.

He looked at me through the mirror and I sighed stepping out of the stall. I stood beside him turning on the faucet and washed my hands drying them with the tissues after.

"How are you?"

He asked and I looked at him through the mirror to see his eyes on me observing my every movement.

"Good I guess... W-What about you?"

"Could be better."

I nodded wiping the droplets off my skin with the tissue looking down at my feet. It is so awkward.

He turned to the side walking past me to get out of the restroom but I called out his name and he instantly stopped in his tracks.

"I'm sorry."

"What for?"

I stared at his side profile through the mirror as he asked without looking at me fixing the watch on his wrist.

"For the way I spoke that day-"

"You don't need to apologize... I'm not mad instead I am curious to know the reason why you are denying your feelings."

He faced me staring right into my eyes through the mirror and I looked away knowing I would burst into tears any moment now.

I'm too sensitive.

"But I'm not going to force you to talk about whatever the reason it is, I'll wait being the patient guy I am."

We stood there in silence but I decided to break it. I turned around facing him.

"Happy birthday."

He chuckled crossing his arms over his chest. His eyes trailed down to my body and I felt nervous under his intense gaze. He looked up at my face staring at lips now.

"Where's my gift?"

"Huh?"

"You heard it.. Most of them who attended the party gave me something or the other but I specially expected a gift from you."

I looked away blushing in embarrassment. He chuckled walking closer to me.

"You look really pretty today, I mean- I remember that you told me we shouldn't see each other anymore but I wanted to see you. Hope you didn't mind coming here."

I gulped nodding too blank to think of anything because of the way he was looking at me standing this close to me.

"So, where's my gift?"
