CHAPTER 48

LEO'S POV

I sniffled with tears continuously streaming down my face as I listened to Rome explaining about why he decided to keep everything a secret.

Jasmine narrated about everything that happened in my life in the past and it honestly did surprise me seeing none of them reacted the way I thought they would instead they pitied me. Well...except Henley.

He's controlling his anger since the start and looked really scary making me feel anxious about when he might burst out.

"We didn't discuss about when to tell you all but now that you got to know... I just want to admit it. Yeah.. Leo and I are in love and are dating each other."

I saw Rome's hand grabbing my wrist and looked up at him with my blurry vision. He took a hold of my arm and made me stand up on my feet.

He intertwined his fingers with mine standing beside me facing the others. I wiped the tears off my face with the help of the sleeves of my hoodie.

Troye was sitting on the edge of the couch glaring at Henley as if waiting for him to do something so that he could stop him before he reaches over to us.

Alex and Jasmine were standing behind the big couch staring at the both of us with small smiles on their faces. I glanced at Grace to see her staring down at our intertwined hands with soft eyes while Christina was sadly smiling at me.

"You motherfuckers-"

Henley stood up charging towards us but Troye pushed him back on the couch standing in front of Rome and I.

"Don't you dare."

I felt tears pooling in my eyes and I stepped back feeling my heart race inside my chest due to fear building up inside me.

"No leave me!"

Henley tried to get out of Troye's grip glaring at Rome with fire in his eyes. I bit my lip not wanting to sob and tried pulling Rome back but he stood in his place staring back at Henley with a blank expression on.

"Henley!"

Christina and Grace shouted in unison as he got out of Troye's grip charging towards us with his hands curled into tight fists.

Henley gripped Rome's collar raising his fist up in the air to punch him but stopped staring at him with hatred written all over his face.

Rome left my hand staring back at him ready to get the punch as I shut my eyes with my mind playing flashbacks of when those bullies used to beat Tom.

Everything is repeating all over again.

I heard a series of gasps and opened my eyes only to see Rome on the floor with blood oozing out of his lip with Henley glaring at him breathing heavily. I was about to walk up to him but Henley hissed making me halt in my steps.

"Henley."

Grace encircled her arms around his waist trying to pull him back but he didn't move an inch and continued glaring at Rome who stared back with a sad smile on his face.

"Wow."

Rome chuckled wiping the blood off from the corner of his lip and slowly stood up facing Henley.

"What's wrong with you Rome? I've never expected something so cheap and disgusting from you! My very own best friend is a gay- Oh you know how embarrassing it'll be to go around telling that my friend is gay!?

People would judge me as well because of you! Why didn't you tell me this before? You're that scared to lose a friend? Oh you would be as you so very well know that no one will like you after you come out...you selfish snake."
