Scotland, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, 11th November, 1991

Some time had now passed after the Halloween incident and Hermione was now officially part of their friend group. She often joined them when they were doing their homework, helping them as much as she could without actually giving them the answers. Miraculously, Ron and Harry's grades went from Acceptable and Poor to Exceeds Expectations and, the rarest of them all, Outstanding. There wasn't much of a big change for Lilith, since she had always paid attention whenever Remus mentioned what the Hogwarts professors looked for when grading papers. The best part of this new development was watching Ron and Hermione bicker, in Lilith's opinion of course.

Aside from that, the terrifying experience they had with the massive mountain troll was long forgotten now that the days were getting colder and the Quidditch season was right around the corner. As the days passed and they got closer to the first Quidditch game of the year, Harry's appetite got smaller and smaller, which made Lilith worry about his health and she even forced him to eat, even when he felt nauseous.

She knew her brother was nervous about his first match, but she also knew that he was worrying over nothing. From what Lilith'd heard from his stories about training, Harry seemed to be doing great and she'd heard the Weasley twins grumble under their breath about Wood being ruthless with the training sessions. Another thing that was probably bothering Harry was the fact that it seemed like everyone already knew about him being the new Gryffindor seeker, although Wood had been very explicit about the no-telling-Harry-is-the-new-seeker-policy. Gossip did spread fast in Hogwarts, she noted.

Lilith would've been lying if she said she wasn't the tiniest bit jealous of her brother. She too wanted to fly around on a broom of her own, to play a Quidditch match against Slytherin and the ginger recently discovered a liking to the beater position, so she'd like to venture into that as well.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Hedwig, that decided that the top of the ginger's head was a nice place to rest, and was now chirping and nudging the girl with its beak. Lilith took the small letter from the bird's outstretched foot and carefully opened it, aware of the curious glances she was getting from her close friends.

Dear Eva,

The girl rolled her eyes, but couldn't help the faint smile that appeared on her face as soon as she saw the way he had addressed her. Eva, huh? No one called her that and he knew it. Lilith had the idea that was probably why Theodore Nott wrote it and, after all, she remembered him saying he liked her second name because he found it beautiful. His words, not hers.

Hopefully you're wearing appropriated robes for the cold weather, wouldn't want to see you sneezing first thing in the morning. It'd be distasteful.
