Scotland, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, 3rd April, 1992

The four of them crowded around the table, huddling close as Harry read the letter aloud:

Dear Ron,

How are you? Thanks for the letter—I'd be glad to take the Norwegian Ridgeback, but it won't be easy getting him here. I think the best thing will be to send him over with some friends of mine who are coming to visit me next week. Trouble is, they mustn't be seen carrying an illegal dragon. Could you get the Ridgeback up the tallest tower at midnight on Saturday? They can meet you there and take him away while it's still dark. Send me an answer as soon as possible.

Love,

Charlie

There was a collective sigh of relief around the table.

"Charlie's friends can take him!" Ron said, looking down at the letter as if it were a lifeline.

Hermione, though still looking anxious, nodded. "We can do it. Midnight on Saturday. If we're careful, no one will ever know."

Lilith glanced at the letter again, her mind already racing with the logistics of sneaking a dragon through Hogwarts without getting caught. "The tallest tower... That's the Astronomy Tower, isn't it?" she asked. "It's far enough from the castle that if we're quiet, no one should hear us."

"Right," Harry agreed, but then his eyes flicked over to Ron's still-bleeding hand. "But what about you, Ron? Are you sure you'll be up for it with that hand?"

The Weasley waved it off with his good hand, though he winced slightly. "I'll manage. Besides, I'm not missing the chance to finally get rid of Norbert."

"But we have to be careful," Hermione repeated, her voice filled with concern. "If Malfoy's seen him, there's no telling what he'll do. He could be planning something right now."

Lilith nodded, her gaze serious. "We'll need to be extra cautious."

Harry sat up straighter, determination flashing in his eyes. "We've got the Cloak," he reminded them, patting the silvery material draped across his lap. "It shouldn't be too difficult. I think it's big enough to cover two of us and Norbert."

Ron raised an eyebrow, still cradling his injured hand. "You think that thing's going to fit under the Cloak? It's grown so much in a week, it's practically bursting out of Hagrid's hut."

Lilith grimaced. Ron had a point. In just a few days, Norbert had gone from a tiny, wriggling creature to something far more dangerous—and far less containable. "We'll have to be quick," she said, her voice firm. "Get Norbert up to the tower, hand him over, and get back down before anyone even realizes we're gone."
