"Tell me exactly, how do you know this fifth-year charm?" Theodore's voice was curious, his brows furrowing as he glanced at the magical barrier glimmering around them.
"That's for me to know and for you... to keep guessing," Lilith replied cheekily, appreciating the slight frown that appeared on his face after her teasing remark. She gave him a knowing look before focusing her attention back on the hallway ahead.
As they made their way toward Gryffindor Tower, the faint rainbow speckles of the bubble charm caught the attention of a few older students. They gave them knowing glances but didn't say anything, likely guessing it was just another bit of mischief. Despite the occasional looks, the younger students they passed remained oblivious to their presence.
"It's not my best work, though," she admitted, her tone softening as she eyed the shimmer of the magic. "I still need to perfect it."
"Guess you and Granger aren't that different, huh?" Theodore quipped, a rare smirk tugging at his lips, his hazel eyes gleaming with a hit of playful mischief.
"Hey, now — do you want to be pushed out of the barrier?" She raised an eyebrow, her own smile matching his. Their easy banter had a rhythm that made the walk through the castle feel almost effortless.
The boy mimed zipping his lips shut before letting out a chuckle. "This feels nice."
Lilith's brow furrowed in mild confusion. "Not talking?" she teased.
"No," Theodore replied, glancing around the corridor. "Not being seen, I mean."
Lilith slowed her pace, taking a moment to absorb the quiet that surrounded them. For the first time, no one seemed to notice the 'Girl-Who-Lived' — or, as many still called her, 'Harry Potter's sister'. The whispers, the stares, the weight of constant attention — it was gone, even if only temporarily. She found herself agreeing with Theodore. It did feel nice.
For a long time, she'd craved this kind of anonymity. Ever since she set foot in Hogwarts, the attention had been constant. Now, with only Theo at her side and the charm shielding them from the world, it felt like a breath of fresh air.Her freckled face broke into a soft smile. "You're right."
"I mean — I normally am." Nott smirked again, drawing a playful glare from the small girl.
"Suddenly, I miss the quiet Theo," she said with a dramatic sight.
Theodore pressed a hand to his chest, pretending to be wounded. "You wound me," he said, adding an exaggerated groan for effect.
