Hi guys <3 Just wanted to say hi

I woke up in the middle of the night. It was really cold and I couldn't fall back asleep again. So I decided to just stay awake. I went to open my bag so I could take my notebook out and draw some stuff on it. I tried warming myself next to the gentle fire. I looked at my watch, it was 2 am. I began sketching some butterflies. Drawing really helped me relax, and I thought it would help me fall asleep. I was once again thinking about my family. I got really sad for some reason.
"It's really pretty." Diego spooked me. I jumped. "Oh gosh, you scared me!" I exclaimed. "Haha, sorry. I couldn't sleep too, so I came here to warm myself up next to you." Diego laughed. "Is something wrong? You look sad." He asked me. "Nothing really, just thinking about my family." I stated with a sad tone. "You miss them?", Diego whispered. "Yeah, I really do.", I sobbed. "Hey, It's gonna be alright, don't cry." He told me, as he wiped off one of my teary eyes with his thumb.

Diego's pov:

I woke up and saw Y/N, cuddled up in a blanket near the fire, doing something in her notebook. I went to check on her. She was drawing. "It's really pretty." I spoke, but I scared her. I apologized. She seemed sad once again. I asked her why and she said it's because she missed her family. Tears started rolling down her cheeks. She looked so innocent. "So there really was a weak side of her." I thought. "Hey, It's gonna be alright, don't cry." Seeing her cry made me feel uncomfortable. I acknowledged her skills and she was being quite good to me. I wiped off a tear from her face. "You can tell me anything if it's gonna make you feel better." I told her. "Diego, stop pretending like you care, Johnny told me about you. You are just using me, aren't you?" She confronted me. I didn't know what to say because I really did plan to use her, but I had to make something up real quick. "You know, if you wanna believe Johnny, then do believe him. But I actually have zero bad intentions. I promise." I gave my word to her. "Alright, I'm sorry I misunderstood you... It's just really late. I don't know what I'm even saying." L/n apologized. "It's okay, people often make wrong assumptions about me, so I understand." I told her. She was really naive after all. "That's all it took to convince her-?".

After a few minutes of silence, I felt her leaning on my shoulder. She was asleep. If I was her, I wouldn't fall asleep so easily on someone else's shoulder. She really did trust me. I felt kind of bad for her. I didn't want to disappoint her once I betray her. I slowly got lost in my thoughts. The fire was really warm and comforting. Then without realizing, I drifted off into sleep.

I woke up in the morning, to her hugging me in her sleep. I thought shit, because if she woke up, she would think I was trying something. But it was really warm like that, so I just pretended to sleep and wait for her to wake up before me. I had to guess that the time was around 6am. Then I waited and waited. At some time, I must have fallen asleep.
When I woke up once again, Y/N was packing her stuff. "Slept good?" She noticed I was up.

Y/N's pov:

I saw that he woke up. I was embarrassed, what if he knew I was cuddling him while I was asleep, fuck, I didn't want to. "Slept good?" I asked him. "Yeah, the fire that night was really warm after all, you?" He smirked. That was it, he actually knew, I was going to go kill myself in the waterhole. "Yup, I did too." I stuttered. "Haha alright, let's head to the next watering hole." He chuckled. "I never said I'm going to travel with you." I stated confidently. "What do you mean? If you aren't traveling with me, then I'll travel with you, and you can't really do anything about it." He told me. That guy didn't know I could kill him on the spot. I didn't have anything against him, it's just that I planned to be alone and he ruined everything. I gave him an annoyed look. Then I got on my horse and without a word, I started heading towards the next watering hole. He followed behind me. I tried ignoring him. I was still embarrassed from this morning. At least we didn't talk...
