Chapter 25

*Louis' POV*

I watched as Zayn and Penny (mostly Penny) dragged a pleading and crying Harry to their car. He thrashed in their arms, screaming for Alison. I guess whatever happened hurt him. A lot. I went inside as I saw a doctor pass us by.

"Uh, Sir?" I asked.

He stopped in his tracks and nodded at me, signaling I had his full attention.

"Did you see a boy being dragged out of here? Curly brown hair. Crying and sobbing erratically."

"Actually yes. Are you here for an Alison Cortright?" I nodded shakily and nervously.

"What room is she in?" I asked. Giuliana tugged my hand tight, holding my arm for comfort. She knew her apparently. I wonder what happened. A few years ago tey used to be the best of friends, and now I barely see them looking at each other anymore.

"176. Right down the hall. It's the door on your right when you turn left."

"Thank you sir." I said. Giuliana dragged me desperately towards her room, stumbling behind her.

We walked in to find a body under a sheet and the heart monitor turned off. Giuliana started to cry as I teared up. She turned into my chest as I held her close to me.

Alison is was gone.

Dead. I know now why Harry was that messed up about it.

A nurse walked in, patting me on the shoulder. "I'm sorry for your loss." she stated and walked to Alison's lifeless body, pulling out the IV's.

I couldn't stand in there any longer. It hurt too much. I walked Giuliana back to the car. She sat in the passenger seat, silent the whole ride back to her house. I don't think she could go to school realizing someone she was friends with died. I don't know how anyone else will take it.

She told me how to get to her house, telling me the directions softly.

I walked her to her door, only to be greeted by her father. He was an older gentleman. Graying hair and very tall. He had a nice smile, cheering me up a little bit.

"What happened?" He asked. Giuliana walked past him to her room, inviting me inside to tell him. He made some tea while I explained.

"Our close friend recently got into an accident. She died."

"Oh. I'm so sorry. What was her name?"

"Alison. Alison Cortright."

"Oh my. They were best friends in kindergarten. They did everything together. We had moved away the year she started middle school and they lost touch. We eventually moved back but, Giuliana wanted to start over. She made different, all new friends, dyed her hair and just reinvented herself. Someways better than others."

"I never knew they were that close." I said, taking a sip of my tea.

"I'm still shocked she's gone. You want me to talk to her parents?"

"Yea. I guess so." I continued to sit while Mr. Foreman had patted my shoulder, looking at me with acre.

"You're a good kid Louis."

"Thank you, Mr. Foreman."

"Please. It's Brett."

"Brett. Sir."

He chuckled at me and sat back down, phone in hand.

"I should get going." I said.

"Alright. Hug for the road?" He asked.

This man was very cheerful and hearty. I hugged the man, only to have him looked shocked and a little hopeful.

"What's wrong?"

"Come here." He said, happily. I followed him through the house, only to be brought into a room that seemed to be full of conspiracy theory things that should be investigated by few people.

"This is finally happening." he mumbled to himself.

"What's happening?"

"You are very special Louis. You may be able to bring her back. In all my years, I'm finally seeing it happen."

"What?"

He turned to me, putting his hands on my shoulders to look at him. "You. Are. Special."

I started to get nervous. Was this man alright? He seemed a little crazy, almost insane. Then again, my friend and other friend's girlfriend are werewolves.

"I gotta go. I'm sorry. I have to pick up my sisters from their bus stop. It was good meeting you."

"You too." he breathed.

I walked out of the house and back to my car.
