AN- Meet the story that I made by combining like 3 different shorts I had made of Scar and Grian.
Grian POV-
The sun was beginning to set as I finally placed the last piece of concrete I had in my hand. I quickly study my inventory for more but come up with just a handful of carrots and rockets. It was a good time for a break anyway as it would be dark soon. I double check my elytra and jump off of the wall to glide towards where Scar was pruning a tree he had just finished.
"Hey Scar! Let's call it for the day!"
Scar looked up at me, dusting off his hands on his robe, "Okay. Do you want to come over to my house for some cake?"
I nod and angle towards Larry the snail just as I hear Scar fire a rocket. I grin back towards him and dive towards the jungle trees and begin zooming around them, twisting up through the branches and twirling through vines. The flight from my mansion to Scar's base wasn't very far but I wanted to the opportunity to show off. Maybe make him a little mad at my recklessness; he was always adorable when he was mad. His eyebrows would furrow so innocently over his hazel eyes. The green shining through the brown more prominently as he glared at me. His lips would purse in a small frown as his forehead would crinkle distractingly.
Speaking of distractions, I was too busy daydreaming of making Scar mad, that I was unable to twist away from a vine quick enough. My foot got caught drastically changing my course. I tried to angle up away from an incoming branch but my elytra snagged on another branch and I froze as I heard the ripping of the cloth. Unable to control my momentum, I close my eyes right as I smash into the branch.
I hear the sickening snap as my ankle is broken by the vine and I feel my right shoulder flare in pain as my arm goes completely numb except a couple tingles shooting up from my fingers. I do my best to grasp onto the branch with my left hand but the slick bark provides no hand holds and I slip, hanging painfully upside down from my broken ankle. I nearly throw up as I see my right arm hanging limply below me, clearly dislocated. My vision spins as my body goes into shock to compensate from the pain. I hear a snap as my body begins freefalling towards the forest floor and just before my vision completely, I see a green blur land on the floor right below me.
----------
The first thing I notice is pain. My ankle feels immobilized and swollen, throbbing pain coming from it. When I try to move it, I cry out in pain and make a mental note to not do that again. The next thing I notice is my shoulder. I can actually feel my arm, but that is not a good thing as I can tell than my wrist is broken a long with a couple fingers. My shoulder is causing shooting pain down my back and up my neck. I groan slightly and open my eyes just in time to see Scar rush up the ladder of Larry and into the room I'm lying in.
"Grian! I heard you cry out. Are you okay?"
My heart flutters at Scar's worried and angry expression, "Can I have a healing potion? Everything hurt."
He nods and rushes to dig through a couple barrels before standing triumphantly with the pink liquid. He hands it to me as he sits on the edge of the bed, his legs crossed under him. I drink it gratefully and enjoy the feeling of the pain diminishing to a more bearable sensation. I look up at him sheepishly.
Scar leans his head to one side, studying me, "we should get you showered and cleaned up. You're covered in concrete and sweat."
I grimace at the thought of showering in this state. I can't even stand nor move my dominant hand to wash my hair. Scar seems to understand this dilemma though as he helps me to the bathroom, gently setting me to sit on a chair. He places a plastic chair in the shower and helps me carefully remove my shirt. It takes a bit of finagling with the sling and splint on my arm. Once my sweater and shirt were removed, he stepped back allowing me to peel my pants off revealing just my boxers. I'm sure my face was bright red in embarrassment but Scar didn't seem to acknowledge it as he lifted me to sit on the chair in the shower. He turns the tap on and I relax as the warm water splashes onto my hot skin.
I would have been happy to just sit under the stream, allowing the sweat, dirt, and concrete to rinse off my body but Scar seemed determine to actually give me half decent shower. It did shock me when I felt him shift the chair out of the water stream to gentle lather some shampoo into my hair, but I quickly melted into his touch. His fingers were rough but gentle as he rubbed circles on my head, causing the soap to bubble up. He then gently placed me under the shower and rubbed the shampoo out my hair, ensuring none got in eyes.
I sigh under the water and under Scar's touch but he does leave. I miss the feel of him but I allow myself to enjoy the water. He has left the bathroom and soon returns with a couple articles of clothing which he placed on the sink.
"These should fit you pretty well. The shirt might be a little tight since you're wider in the shoulders but otherwise..." he trailed off and turns off the shower and gently helps me towel off. He leaves the room as I slip off my wet boxers and slip into his dry pants He re-enters to help me slip on a tee-shirt and he then pushes the chair I'm on in front of the mirror. He grabs a brush and begins to remove the knots in my wet hair.
I glance at Scar through the mirror as he continues to run the brush through my now detangled hair. His mouth twisted in worry. I don't like this. I don't want Scar to be worried about me, "Scar? You look upset about something. What's wrong?"
He stops brushing my hair, much to my displeasure and set his hands on my shoulders, "Promise me you will never do that again G! My heart can't take it anymore. This is incident, like, 300! Remember last time when..."
I accidentally tune Scar out as he continues to rant about my knack of hurt myself. I my distracting myself by watching his face. His hair was still matted back with sweat from building all day but a couple of the longer bangs were hanging in front of his eyes. His eyes shined slightly green as they filled with worried tears. Oh. Oh no. I was making Scar cry.
"...Just please promise me okay? I love you too much to have to watch you die, even if I know you will respawn."
My breath catches in my throat. He loves me? He is looking me in the eyes through the mirror, clearly trying to get a read on me but he quickly releases my shoulders to turn the chair around. He kneels in front of me, a smile on his lips. He grabs my left hand to plant a simple kiss on the knuckles causing me to blush brightly. He smiles again before picking me up to take me back to the bed. He puts me down and hands me another healing potion as he sits beside me.
"Are you going to say something Grian?"
I still haven't said anything? I guess I was too caught up in the idea of Scar actually loving me. "I love you too Scar. And I promise to be more careful."
"That's all I ask."
His smile makes him much prettier and amazing than when he's angry. I want him to stay this way, his eyes sparkling brown, and small dimples adorning his cheeks. I reach up with my good hand to gently push back the hair in front of his eyes and then I leave my hand at his cheek. He covers it with his own hand, closing his eyes and leaning into the touch. I shift carefully so I'm right next his face and I carefully move my hand to his chin, causing him to reopen his eyes. I glance towards his lips, where a grin was spreading.
"Kiss me Scar."
And he did.
