Chapter Twenty Six

After a disastrous homecoming I went straight to my house and ran quickly to my bedroom. Casually changed into my shorts and a shirt, and climbed into bed and drifted off into sleep.

Saturday and Sunday passed by fast and now it's Monday morning.

I grudgingly get out of the bed, and half walk half drag myself to the bathroom.

I am not a morning person. At all.

I step into the shower to relieve myself in the warm comforting water. Letting the water pelt on to my back. I close my eyes and let all the stress disburse from me.

In no time I'm out of the shower and getting changed into my sun bleached light blue skinny jeans with a green "Help save the Earth" shirt.

Breakfast fills my stomach tasting very dull compared to how I am feeling it's a tad better. I grab an apple on the go, and start to head out for school.

When I walk up towards the school I see kids point their fingers at me, smile and laugh, and one kid came up to me and said "you're very lucky" I didn't understand so I just continued to smile.

I obviously didn't understand what was going on until I opened the school door. In front of me was Casper Lee standing in the hallway holding a bouquet of flowers, with rose petals showered on the floor of the hallway. I noticed that there were kids crowding around us.

And he was wearing the cutest smile in the world, while wearing a button down shirt with some dark jeans.

Omg, please help me. I think I'm going to faint from how cute he looked.

I slowly walked up to the hottie in front of me. He extended his hand and I took it. I plastered a smile on my already grinning face.

"Well, hello to you too." He said while flashing me a complete teeth and lips smile.

"Hi." I managed to squeak out.

"So Mia, I kind of have a question for you." He said while blushing.

Ahhhh, kill me now, this is too cute.

"Okay. Cool." That's all I managed to get out of my shut mouth.

"So I was thinking of going to have frozen yogurt and a movie this Saturday. Care to join me?" He says sounding a bit nervous.

I thought for a second. I wasn't with Tomas so why not? And he is also very hot.

"That would sound perfect." I replied.

I could almost hear a sigh from the crowd of students surrounding us. I could hear "awwws" and many girls started to sob of how cute the gesture was.

I pecked him on the cheek, and he gave me a hug.

"Hey, Mia, you might wanna listen to this." Kid said to me as I walked to class.

"Uh yeah. Sure. What's up?" I said confused.

"Well you know Tomas, your ex?" I nodded.

What is Tomas doing now?

"Well, um, he said this about Casper if you go out with him, he said that he would um, well you know, like punch him." he said.

My mouth dropped.

"He s-said t-that?" I stammer.

I can't believe this. Why would Tomas do this? Why Casper? What did he do? Is he still jealous? Does he have a problem with me going out with Casper?

"Um, yeah." He gulped.

"He said that, um, he wanted you back, and he is really sorry about what happened." He said while scratching his neck.

"Oh wow. Well thanks for the heads up. I'll keep an eye out for Tomas. Thanks for telling me this." I said still trying to process the information.

"Well, no problem." He replied and turned around and headed back down the hallway.

Why can't Tomas just drop it already? I'm sort of over him. Why is he doing this? I have got to warn Casper. I say to myself while heading to class.

The first few classes has past by and I'm heading to Biology.

Dang, I have Tomas as my partner.
I say to myself.

The first thing the that happens when the bell rings is that the teacher happens to change our seating. I am no longer partnered with Tomas! Yes!

"Angela you're with Derek."

"Pamela you're with Blake."

"Kathy you're with Andrew."

"Casper you're with Mia."

I let out a sigh of relief.

"Luke you're with Tomas."

Uh oh.

This semester of Biology is not going to end well, if Tomas and Luke are partnered together.

The teacher keeps calling out kids names and kids start to shuffle around the classroom finding their new partners.

Casper plops beside me and gives me a big lop-sided smile before concentrating back at the teacher. Unfortunetly the partners behind me are Tomas and Luke.

Yippee.

"Psstt... Casper." I quietly whisper and nudge him in the ribs.

"What?" He says turning to look at me.

"Um, you know Tomas right?" I continue to whisper.

"Yeah. Yeah. Cool mate he is." He replies.

"Well, he said he'll punch you if you take me out." I say praying that he wouldn't be angry.

His face doesn't change, it stays still, with no emotion until he finally says something. "Well, that, that, that's not cool mate." He finally says.

"Yeah." I reply.

Casper turns around and starts to speak with Tomas.

"Mate, just because I asked your ex girl, doesn't mean you have to threaten me, lad." He says with no emotion in his face, once again.

I can see Tomas's jaw move and his eyes start to look threatening.

He doesn't say anything, so Casper turns around.

A few minutes pass and I feel something hit my hair.

It's a note from Tomas.

I'll always love you, I will win you back, I will.

I gulp, and keep staring at the board in front of the class. I can feel Tomas's eyes burning multiple holes into my back.

Tomas can't keep me from Casper.

Nothing can.
