The rest of the day Tomas doesn't really talk to me, at all. My mind keeps thinking about me and Tomas's conversation today when we walked to the school.

"Mia, please tell me what PI is? The teacher calls on me.

"Uh, well it's uh." I gulp.

"Please Ms. Thompson, I can not waste anymore time in this class." He replies.

"Uh, it's uh 3.14 and it goes on repeating." I say nervously.

"Correct. Please pay attention in my class Ms. Thompson." He says, and returns to teaching math.

I sit down in my seat, and stare forward at the whiteboard.

The bell rings, and I quickly rush out of the class. Tomas is in my class, I have to get out before I meet him, again.

I continue my thinking about Tomas. Until I slam into a wall. Oh no it's not a wall, it is Tomas.

His hair is ruffled, and his clothes are wrinkled and messy. He has bags under his eyes, making him more attractive. "Uh, sorry Tomas." I mumble. His body stops when he hears me talk. His head slowly turns and looks at me. "Yeah, I'm sorry too." Thats all he said to me, for the whole day.

When I reach the cafeteria, I see Tomas's back at me. Maybe I shouldn't sit with them. I quickly think. Until Mark comes behind me, and slaps me on the back playfully. "Hey Mia, how ya doing?" He says cheerfully. "Uh, okay I guess. How about you?" I say quietly. He grins and says he's fine. He asks me if I want to sit with them. It takes me a few seconds to think of my answer. "Uh, sure. Sounds good." I say smiling a bit.

Mark and I walk to his table. When I sit down next to Mark, Tomas's face quickly looks at me. "How's your day?" He utters. I look at him not believing, that he would talk to me. "It's been good, could've of been better." I grumble. He knows exactly what I was talking about.

Lunch was miserable. Tomas wouldn't talk to me, nor would he look at me. My schedule was absolutely horrible. I had eight classes, but I have four classes with Tomas.

Period one: Calculus. With Tomas.
Period two: World History.
Period three: Language Arts.
Period four: Biology. With Tomas.
Period five: Spanish 2. With Tomas.
Period six: Yearbook.
Period seven: PE. With Tomas.
Period eight: Chemistry.

I guess maybe I have no friends now. But still wanted to know what Tomas was talking about? I keep wondering.

I'm in biology, and Tomas somehow is my partner. Could this day get even worse? I ask myself, but before I could answer my own question, a popular kid named Luke Davenport comes over.

"So Mia, do you want to go to the movies on Friday?" He asks me with no hesitation. I can feel Tomas stiffen beside me. I can't believe it. Luke is one of the most popular guys in 11th grade.

Luke has blond hair, the bluest eyes, and many freckles dotting his face. He is captain of the football team and student body president. All I've heard is that, he has had at least five ex-girlfriends, and is a total badass. He has broken many hearts, but girls still throw themselves to his feet. I can see from the corner of my eye that Tomas is giving Luke a icy cold glare.

"Sure. Sounds like fun." I smile at Luke. If Tomas isn't willing to talk to me or even look at me, I'll might as well annoy him, with going on a date with Luke. I know Luke and Tomas have a strong hatred between each other, so this is the perfect payback.

Luke smiles cheekily, and then glares back at my partner, Tomas. "So, I'll pick you up on Friday, say about eight?" He looks at me. "Okay, see you then." I smile back, while blushing.

Luke walks back to his table, and Tomas just keeps on glaring at Luke's head. I don't know what's wrong with Tomas, but I think he's jealous. But why would he? He has a girlfriend for crying out loud! Tomas sees me thinking and quickly raises an eyebrow. I scowl back at him, and look forward.

If only he knew what I think about him, I quietly say to myself.
