Following The Stars (UNDER MAJOR CONSTRUCTION!)

Chapter Seven

It's Tuesday, the second day of school. I was getting dressed when a thought popped inside of head. "What was he asking yesterday?" I say out loud. I guess I'll just ask him today, when we walk to school. I think. I quickly put on a pair of dark jeans and a light blue sweater. I walk out of my house, and the cool air hits me. It's a chilly and frost day, with low clouds. Giving me a eerie feeling, I shudder.

Tomas comes up behind me, he scares the hell out of me. "God Tomas, you freaked me out!" I yell at him while laughing.

"Sorry Mia, I saw you thinking, so I decided to scare you." He says, laughing too hard. Wow what a great explanation. I glare at him, when he's still smiling. He sees me and immediately stops. I start to chuckle at him, when his phone starts to ring. He answers it.

"Hello? Who is this?" He looks at me. I can hear his caller. It's a girl and she is pissed. Oh god it's Jennifer! I quickly think. I look at him urgently. "What are you talking about? Excuse me?!" He yells into his phone. He looks back at me and ends the call on Jennifer. "Uh, is everything all right?" I ask while raising an eyebrow at him.

"Uh, something about my relationship with Jennifer... Oh and you." He looks away. "Me?" I lift an eyebrow. He blushes and looks at the ground. "Uh, Tomas why are you talking about me?" I look at him. He stays quiet, and all I hear are the cars honking at each other, and the birds chirping. "Tomas! Tomas! Hello! Are you in there?" I poke him in the head. He grunts but doesn't talk. "HELLO TOMAS! ARE YOU GOING TO EXPLAIN THIS TO ME?!" I scream at him.

"Fine. I will. It's about you and Jennifer."

"Why is it about me and Jennifer?" I ask.

"Because she thinks... Um... That I like you. And that I don't spend enough to time with her and too much with you...." He cheeks turn rosy red.

I turn my head so I'm looking behind us. Many silent moments pass, until Tomas breaks the silence.

"Uh, so yeah. That's my explanation." He looks ahead.

"So I'm the problem now? What did I ever do to her? I didn't do anything at all to you or her! Why does she hate me? What have I done? Does that mean u can't spend time with you?!?" I'm furious now. I can't think anymore. What is wrong with his freaking girlfriend! I think.

"No, no, no. Your not the problem." He says. But I don't trust his words.

"Shut up Tomas! Your making it worse." I yell at him. I see the hurt in his eyes. But I don't care.

"You know what Tomas. Just forget about talking to me today. I'll talk to Mark." I glare at him.

He looks upset but it quickly disappears. Just like his dumb girlfriend. I think. We continue to walk to the school.

I think I should just live a normal life.

No friends. Who cares.

Just study hard. And work hard.
