"Don't tell me you're doing homework?" Tomas shrieks. "I'm glad he can't see me blush over the phone." I consider. "Nah, I'm not doing homework at all." I shove my homework off my bed. "Your lying! Mia I can hear you ruffling your paper!" He screams over the phone. "Fine, you caught me. I just don't want to get in trouble, I'm the new student remember." I shrug, even though I know he can't see it.

"Whatever. Can I come over, my parents aren't home. I need your math notes..." He says. There's an awkward pause between us, and all we hear are our breaths.

His breath.

My breath.

His breath.

Tomas breaks the silence by clearing his throat. "So I'll be right over.." He says quietly. We end our phone call, and I know he'll be here in a minute.

As soon as that thought registers through my mind, the doorbell rings. I see Tomas in basketball shorts and a t-shift that clings to his broad shoulders, and his strong muscles. Oh gods he's beautiful. No no no, stop thinking about that, he has a girlfriend! Oh gosh, he smells like heaven. No stop Mia! Stop thinking about it right now! I keep thinking about it, unfortunately.

"Uh, Mia are you okay?" Tomas waves a hand in front of my face. I jump back a little, giving him a flirtatious smile. "Hi Tomas." I say, sighing a bit. "Uh, hey." He replies, while scratching the back of his neck.

"Uh, Mia, so can I come in or is it a no?" He laughs at his remark. My cheeks turn bright red, giving me away. Tomas raises an eyebrow at me, and chuckles. "Uh, yea sorry Tomas." I laugh lightly and a little suspiciously.

He quickly walks through the doorway. I see him, walking to my room. Oh my god, why is he going in to my room? I quickly wonder. "Hey Mia, are you coming?" Tomas screams from my room. Oh yeah he needs the math notes. "I'm coming, I'll be right there!" I yell back at him.

I walk through my doorway that leads me to my room. The first thing I see is Tomas reading my journal. "OMG YOU CAN NOT READ THAT!" I scream. Tomas pulls my journal behind his head, waving it around. "NO GIVE THAT BACK TO ME!" I holler.

"Hahaha! Mia this is absolutely great!" Tomas yells, while laughing so hard he tumbles over on to the ground. "Keep calm, just sit down Mia." Tomas says calmly. I sit down obediently. "On page 25, you wrote: I met this kid today, his name is Tomas." Tomas wiggles his eyebrows.

"Continuing you wrote: He looks absolutely adorable." I immediately blush, my cheeks are redder than strawberries. "His eyes are beautiful and his jawline is almost perfect." Tomas finished reading my embarrassing paragraph, of what I thought of Tomas.

"So my jawline is almost perfect." He emphasizes on 'almost'.

"Mia.. Do you have anything to tell me?" Tomas asks. I look away quickly. "Mia... Hello..." He asks again. "No... There's nothing I want to tell you..." I say too quickly. "Mia, do you want - " I cut him off. "Tomas maybe you should just, uh, leave." I say quietly. "Mia there's nothing bothering you?" Tomas sits next to me.

His eyes stay put on my face. "Uh, okay, so I'll see you tomorrow at school." He murmurs.

I hear the door slam. "Oh god this is bad." I say out loud. I let myself get to attached to Tomas. I need to be independent. I can't depend on Tomas. I say to myself. "Ah" I say. I jump on to my bed. I lay on my back, and suddenly realize how exhausted I am. I slowly close my eyes and fall asleep.
