Chapter 19
(Sasuke's POV)
I've never been hit by a girl before.
To be honest it didn't hurt at all, the thing that made my head whip to the side was only shock. I was surprised when Pinky went from kissing me back to randomly slapping me. But I wasn't really upset about it because I was mostly proud at the fact that she stood up to me. It might have been weak and unintended but nether the less, she made a statement.
Smirking, I set off to find Itachi and automatically headed towards the detention room. The teachers have seen him so many times that at this point they just try to pretend that he's not there. I don't know why people are afraid of him when he is nothing but a softy.
It's also funny how the girls run to me for protection when it should be the other way around. It just shows how much stereotypes rule society now and days. I was surprised to find Pinky sitting in detention along with Itachi. She never struck me as a rebel kind of girl.
Itachi's fearful eyes met mine and a cold smirk crawled onto my face. Scrambling up from his seat, he ignored the protests of the teacher watching them and made his way towards me. Eyes locked onto the ground, he stuck his hands inside his pockets and let the door slam behind him. I could tell he had said something he wasn't supposed too. The fear was practically dripping off of him.
Leaning closer to his ear I growled, "Let's have a little chat, Brother."
Gulping, he slightly nodded before quickening his pace and heading home. Finally being out of that burdensome building, my cold glare pinned onto the back of his head as we walked home. The air was getting colder and the smell of cigarettes were growing stronger.
After reaching the front door, I grabbed the collar of his shirt and threw him inside, satisfied with his small grunt of pain. Choosing to ignore my father's still bloody body laying on the couch. Itachi hastily picked himself back up from the floor and his expression quickly turned into panic.
Grabbing the cigarette pack in my pocket, I pulled one out and lit it with my lighter. Inhaling the cancer stick before exhaling in his face, enjoying the almost unnoticeable cringe in his expression. "You've been snooping around in my business. And I'm a very private person."
Refusing to even meet my eyes, he remained silent. Grabbing his arm in a bone crushing grip, I took the cigarette from my lips before smashing the bud into the flesh of his arm. Ignoring his screech of pain and his failed efforts to squirm away.
Our father turned a blind eye, still nursing the wounds I had given to him earlier in the week. I was having far to much fun right now to bother with beating the old geezer up again. Letting my older brother's arm slip from my grasp. I sent him another bone chilling smile before retreating back into my room.
Pulling the black, leather book from underneath my bed, my body stilled in paranoia.
They couldn't know yet.
It would crush them.
And for now, I would have to keep them at a distance. Even if it means harming the ones I love to keep them safe.
