Sakura's POV
The black book was beyond scary to me. What would happen if he found out I took it? Should I return it? Did all of this really happen?
Based on what Itachi had told me it was easy to realize that he has no clue of what really happened. Not that Sasuke's 360 attitude adjustment helped much on clarifying anything. So I possibly just stole the Bad boy's darkest secret and could be killed for hiding it. Whoever these people are, it was clear to see that they aren't playing silly parlor games and I could be next.
Confronting Itachi or Sasuke was going to be one of my first major challenges but if Itachi didn't know any of this in the first place, then who am I to tell him someone else's secret? Then again, it's about his family and could possibly bring their brotherly bond back.
Ok, doubt that.
"Here goes little Mrs. Mess up, messing up everyone's lives."
"Shut up".
Grabbing the book, I limped over to my front door and headed to school. I'm just going to return it to him in the empty classroom and be over it. Sure, he is gonna hate me but it's the right thing to do at this point. I know this information would be crucial to Itachi but I also know that this was hidden for a reason. I'm just hoping Sasuke knows what he's doing...
My sneakers slapped against the sidewalk as I pathetically continued to limp while trying to fit the book into my backpack. The sky turned a husky shade of grey and I clenched my jaw when I felt a drop of rain hit my nose. I can do this, I just have to be quick and bread with him and maybe he would understand?
When I reached the school, my breath caught and I skeptically yanked open the front doors and instantly spotted Naruto. A blush spread across his face when our eyes met, and when he started walking in my direction, I kept my head down and bolted. The last thing I need is Naruto to mess up my plans and mess with my courage.
When I spotted Sasuke, he was sitting in the empty classroom with his head in his hands. Dark bags hung under his eyes and his face all in all, looked thinner and malnourished.
A floorboard creaked as I walked inside the room and a fun was automatically placed on my forehead. His eyes drilled into mine with coldness and froze me in the spot.
"Give me my book".
