Chapter 6

(Sakura's POV)

I feel like I'm being stalked.

Whenever I am walking, I feel like someone is behind me. Waiting for a single moment where I am utterly alone. And I'm always alone...

Every dark corner, secluded area, or lockable doors are avoided at all times. Because even the darkness reminds me of his haunting eyes that look familiar yet they are tinged with danger. Itachi, is certainly not a man I want to be involved with. His entire aura practically screams, trouble. And judging from the cold voice Sasuke addressed him with, they were definitely not close. The P.E gym is like a forbidden territory now. Even when I had class, I would find a way to bail out of actually going to the place where it all started. It's like, the second I walk in there he is going to appear. Similar to a ghost haunting a person.

Naruto is avoiding me at all cost. And I still don't know why he is acting like this. Did are friendship mean so little to him? The blank face certainly didn't fit his usually cheery persona. And it put a knife in my gut, every time he would look through me. I'll be standing right in front of him, and he will continue to pretend I'm not there. And I think that's when I realized, he is turning into everyone else. The past years of our history is slowly disappearing and soon it will vanish. Why hold on to a lost cause?

To make matters worse, he didn't call today. Saturday's our hangout day and he didn't at least call to bail out on me. So here I am, waiting at the old, park that was marked as our meet up place. The time keeps flying past and he is inching towards three hours late. I knew I said, I would stop being his friend eventually but this hurts.

Being alone hurts.

Staying at this park, hurts.

Knowing it's Saturday, hurts.

Waiting for him to come, hurts.

The wind was slowly starting to bite my arms as I sat down on the creaky swing. Images of Naruto and I, flickered in my mind with every push off.

~~~~~~~~~~
One.
"Naruto-kun!"
Two.
"Stop being a crybaby, Sakura-chan!"
Three.
"But it's too high!"
Four.
"I won't let you fall!"
Five.
"You promise?"
Six.
With one last push of the swing, he shouted,
"I PROMISE!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~

Jumping off, I crashed onto the mulch. Not even attempting to stand up and brush off the dirt from my legs and hands. I just laid there, listening to the violent creaking of the swing as it tried to call down. And the light cracks, from the Fall leaves that laid upon the mulch and surrounded me. Staring up at the sky, I watched as it started to swirl with gray. As if eating up, the light blue and fluffy clouds that made me close my eyes in sadness.

"Worthless.

Friendless.

Pathetic." the voices mocked.

Until a shadow suddenly hovered over me. Reopening my eyes, I couldn't help but gasp at who I saw.
