Chapter 3

(Sakura's POV)

"Hey you, get up!"

"Detention is over!"

I tried to ignore the manly voice, that was shouting in my ear and disturbing my sleep. It wasn't until I felt myself hit the ground, that I finally opened my eyes. The back of a blue shirt was the last thing I saw of him before the door slammed, cutting of my view. I resisted the urge to scowl as I saw my fallen chair laying beside me and the familiar aching of my bones. To wake me up, he must of hit the leg of my chair to make me fall over.

Scrambling up, I picked the chair back up, placing my hand on the desk for support. When my fingers landed in a puddle, I automatically cringed....

Using my alternate hand I quickly touched the side of my mouth, running over a rough and slightly itchy spot.

I cant believe I drooled on the desk...

And he, must have seen it!

Bowing my head in utter shame, I quickly grabbed my iPod off the floor, along with my stuff and left the room. Before starting to walk home.

I don't know why I expected someone to welcome me with open arms. Or a nice, warm house to engulf me in it's presence. I quietly unlocked the gate with my key, throwing a glare at the guard who was just watching me in distaste, completely ignoring his job. The large black gate creaked open and slammed shut, behind me.

Even the garden leading up to the house, seemed to be ignoring me. And eery silence was in the air as the flowers swayed with the wind. My heart filled with panic and anxiety, when my eyes landed on a long limo, parked in front of my house with the driver patiently waiting.

My dad is home.

My pace quickened as I ran to the front door of the mansion. Maybe things were going to be different now! Maybe I'm going to have my father back! Slamming open the door, the grin on my face fell.

What was I thinking?

He is never going to change.

None of them are!

A blank look, appeared in my eyes as my body numbed. My dad, older brother and my mom, sat casually at the dinner table, laughing together as a family. They didn't notice or acknowledge me as I sat down in my seat, near the end. My mother scrunched her nose up in distaste as she glared in my direction, but it wasn't nearly as bad as the hatred printed across John's face. His blue eyes drilled into mine, daring me to say a word but I just looked down at my lap. Dad just completely ignored me all together, while starting another conversation about how John is doing in school.

Blankly letting tears drip down onto my mash potatoes and roast chicken, I pushed my chair away and bounded up stairs, unable to rake anymore pain. They were the perfect family in everyone's eyes but I'm their only mistake, apparently.

John is the golden boy; A honors student, captain of the football team, a good girlfriend, outgoing, and can do nothing wrong.

Mom is the perfect housewife; Takes care of her son, helps the maids cook and clean, has a bright personality, reads books, helps her husband when ever needed, provides love in care for anyone except me.

Dad was the business man; works hard and long hour to provide for his "family", dedicated and loyal to his wife, and an all around family guy. That participates in everything that doesn't involve me.

And what am I, you might ask? Simple!

Sakura Haruno; the social reject, freak, loser, mess up and mistake of the family.

"You mess up their image." the voices laughed.

"I know. " I whispered, before slamming my bedroom door and succumbing to sleep, drifting away to the sound of my family's haunting laughter coming from downstairs.
