Chapter 9

(Sakura's POV)

Like every other day of the week, I was awakened by John's bucket of water. Except this time, he decided to throw the bucket at my face as well. Hence why I have a bump the size of Europe, on my forehead.

It's gonna be a couple of weeks before that one fades.

"You deserved it," the voices mocked.

Shut up.

Pushing off my bed, I went into the bathroom and cringed as I inspected the bump. I brushed my bangs into my face to cover the bump up and even attempted to put concealer on. Satisfied with my amateur make up job, I grabbed my backpack and rand down the stairs.

Accidentally bumping into my worst nightmare, right before I could open the door. My eyes widened in fear as I backed away from John's cold eyes. They silently reminded me of Sasuke from last night, and that just added to my growing fear. He took slow steps towards me and I winced when his breath hit my face.

Behind his perfect reputation and golden boy image, he actually had a smoking habit and tended to get drunk when no one is around. I'm the only one who knows this because I'm forced to clean up his throw up before our parents get home.

The strong smell of tobacco, coiled around my lungs as I let out a soft cough. Causing John's eyes to narrow as he snarled.

The fist crashed into my face before I could register what happened. I crashed to the ground from the impact as he stepped onto my hand and spat on me. A scream of pain erupted from my mouth but he kicked me in the gut to shut me up.

"Get out of my way, Freak!"

With that, he walked past me and I crawled onto my knees, trying to stay up. Ignoring the pain, I grabbed my back pack and started to walk to school.

While limping, I glared out at the street and my mind flashed back to Itachi and Sasuke. Something about them just screams danger yet, I feel some kind of connection with Sasuke. It's like he can see my soul but he keeps a barrier around him and I can't penetrate it.

The clouds swirled and we're slowly turning to a soft, gray, color.

"It's going to rain soon."

"Yeah, it is."

My neck nearly snapped as I franticly turned towards the voice. A grin crawled onto my face as I threw my arms around Naruto-kun. He laughed and tightly squeezed me inside his embrace.

Pain filled my entire body and I let out a loud yelp as I lurched back. In a heart beat, he let go and inspected me with worried eyes.

"I'M SO SORRY! DID I HURT YOU?!"

I shook my head no and winced as I started to limp again. His eyes narrowed,

"Did someone do this to you?"

I kept silent, not making any types of sound or movement.

"Someone is bullying you again, right?!"

"Poor Sakura and her little problems," the voices sneered.

"You just cause problems for people!"

"Your going to get him hurt!"

"Your a worthless-"

"Sakura-chan?"

I blinked a couple times at the sound of Naruto-kun's voice and regained my senses.

"I called you like five times and I'm going to find out who did this to you!"

Noticing my blank expression, he sighed and threw my arm over his shoulder. Together, we proceeded to the school as rain drops, crashed into us.

Sorry it's been so long! I update based on which one of my books have the most votes for that chapter. And I kind of go down the line of which book is more important because I can't update as much as I want to.
