Chapter 14

You're Not That Bad

Where are you..... Rapunzel...

These were Jack's thoughts. He couldn't help but think about wither if she's safe or not, and the fact that she might be lost because of him or ever worse...... Missing..

"No!" He yelled at himself as he reached the forest. He left his bike and ran inside there. "Rapunzel!" He kept calling. The night was not helping him at all, it was so dark and he could barely see clearly.. the moonlight was his source of light. As he looked up and stared at the moon.... "We're under the same moon... Just reach out to me" he whispered to himself. He won't give up until he finds her "Rapunzel!" He yelled again.

He kept searching.... Running... yelling, hoping for any sign, any signal from her. He was out of breath and felt so drained, he has been searching for almost an hour now and his faith is starting to get lost. "I am not giving up on you!" He yelled to himself. And kept searching, he thought of looking somewhere else but he won't do that until he looks in every inch of this forest. It felt like he was going in circles, everything is dark and green and it felt like no way out. He began feeling guilt, what if she's really missing?

"You should have been the one that died"

Those were his last words to her. Knives... it felt like knives digging deep in his heart. He can't just go to school without her being there. These thoughts kept piling up until he felt like exploding which caused him to run madly into that forest not knowing where he's going. Only anger had control over him now... but this time not at her, but at himself. He did cross the line this time.

The second he was out of breath he stopped in his tracks and started breathing heavily. Inhaling and exhaling he looked up and what he saw made him froze.

"Rapunzel...." He whispered.

She was sitting at the edge of the cliff in the end of the forest, crawled on the ground with her head buried between her knees. She looked so broken and he could tell.. she was crying..

"Rapunzel!" He called again and this made her froze. Rapunzel gasped and she slowly turned her head to see the only person she did not wanna be seen by him. He hates her, she disgusts him, she ruined his life and she ruined him. She doesn't wanna hurt him. If he got any closer to her she'll only hurt him. Jack slowly attempted to make a step towards her as he stared at her with relief in his eyes.

"No!" Rapunzl yelled as she stood up and ushered him to stay back. She was facing him with her back facing the cliff where it leads to absolute doom. Jack stopped right away and stared at her, he had so many emotions in his eyes but the most dominant one was relief as he saw her... alive and here.. with him "Stay back! Don't come anywhere near me no!"

"Rapunzel no don't!" He snapped. She can't push him away "Listen to me first, you need to move it's dangerous where you're standing" her eyes were so puffy from crying and this broke him. He did this to her even after knowing how much she suffered.

"No i am the one who's dangerous! Please..." she pleaded with tears filling her eyes and pain filling her chest "You have to stay away from me, i do not wanna hurt you... I am a monster, I should just die" Her voice was breaking at this point. Her words cut Jack deeper than any knife could.

"Stop!" He yelled. This is driving him insane "Everything i said was wrong" He made a step towards her but that only caused her to step back a bit almost tripping from that cliff as a rock fell down there "Careful!" He was scared "Just please move from there first" He can't lose her.

"Jack please, Please i am begging you... Let me go... I do not wanna hurt anyone" She begged. If she just disappeared and that thing took her, maybe this madness will end.
