Chapter 16

The Route

"Rapunzel, you're going out again?" Her grandmother raised her eyebrows. Her grand daughter had always been a super introvert, since when does she love to go out that much?

"Yes..." Rapunzel replied nervously, she knows her grand mother worries a lot and her being over protective makes it even worse.

"Where are you going? Who will you be with? That boy?" She asked narrowing her eyes and this question made Rapunzel instantly blush.

"N-No No! I mean...yea? Well not him alone... We're an entire group" She replied. Why does her face feel hot? She doesn't really understand.

"Group?" That caught the granny off guard, Rapunzel has a group of friends? What? "Your new friends?"

"No... not like that.." Rapunzel cleared her throat, she has to come up with a lie! But she's so bad at lying that's why she always prefered to stay silent "It's for a ... school.... project..." That might not be the best excuse, but parents can never say no to anything related to school and using projects as an excuse to go out somehow always work.

"What project?" She pressed further. She doesn't hate that her grand daughter is meeting new people but she has her reasons to worry about her going out.... her own personal reasons....

"It's for... school...." Rapunzel was freaking out internally. This is so hard! "There's an event.... in school.... and we... volunteered! To do the.... decorations! Yes. We design the decorations and the paintings so it's a lot of work!" What the fudge was that Rapunzel? She's a really bad liar!

"Oh! That sounds interesting" Her granny replied "and when is that event?"

"It's uhmmm in a few months.." If her grand mother didn't have a bad sight, she would have noticed instantly that how much of a liar Rapunzel is "Ughh, Granny i am gonna be late! And you keep asking questions" Rapunzel started complaining. She doesn't wanna make them wait again.

"Okay okay it's fine, you can go" Her Grandmother sighed "But don't be late! And don't you dare go to that street! You know the rules" she warned and Rapunzel nodded. Sometimes she actually thinks that maybe just maybe, her grandmother knows something as well "and please, be careful while walking and don't bump into anything again" Yup... Rapunzel lied about her face. She can't just tell her grandmother that kids from her class punched her because they think she's a demon.

"I am going, bye" Rapunzel waved before finally heading out of the door. She loves her but she can be too much sometimes. Rapunzel sighed, picked up her bike and as she was about to head out towards the road she saw Jack and 2 of her classmates standing there.

The classmates that beat her.....

She was stunned, they looked scared as they looked down while Jack stood there behind them with his arms folded looking cold and angry at the same time. Rapunzel was shocked, she looked at Jack and her eyes widedned. What is going on?

"Do it" Jack demanded but this time she felt he wasn't talking to her "Do as I said or else" He gritted his teeth. Her classmates were shaking but kept their head down, they were trembling.

"We're-We're sorry"

"Yeah-we-we didn't mean it! We promise to not hurt you ever again"
